Hi everyone,
Greetings,
I need to buy a scanner and need help from you people. I don't have any idea about scanners but I can mention the thing I require from this scanner.
My main objective of buying this scanner is to scan lots of documents and convert them into digital format by using OCR. I might scan occasional photographs but they are not my first priority.
My budget is 5K...5.5K at the MAX. Not even a paisa more. Here's what I need to know:
1) Should I go for a deskjet All-in-one? If yes then which one? I can extend my budget for an AIO to max 9K-9.5K. I am not in a desperate need for printer but if there is not a decent and cheap scanner available then I can go for it.
2) If I should go for a separate scanner then which model and manufacturer.
3) Good Linux compatibility will be an additional bonus.
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
SBA
