I have xp sp2 running on ntfs now im going for multibooting system by installing linux(ubuntu).

I dont have any idea on linux file system, which file system is good for file sharing for both OS files in all drive.

Is it is necessary to installing both the OS on separate drive or i can simlpy install it on same drive.

When you boot up your computer with the linux cd, it will give you an option of installing on to a hard disk. select that option and follow the on screen instructions. I hope that you have a minimum of 10GB space free on your hard disk.
