Heh .. Why dont you use
Start > Run > MsTsc {Press Enter}

?
Install IPmessenger on both PCs and send the files to your local computer using Remote desktop .. This is faster than copying the file over lan ..

@rahul

A.
Turn on all the needed services like

1. Internet Connection Sharing and windows firewall

2. Print and file sharing

3. Netbios over tcp/ip

4. Simple file sharing(folder options)

5. All the other corresponding services in services.msc!

If you wanna transfer files between two computers you can use this method.

First download IP Messenger and install it on both the systems.

Now on the system you want to receive files, run Start > Run > MsTsc {Press enter} ( Remote desktop ) and connect to the computer from which you wanna transfer files.

Select the file you wanna send and send it through IP Messenger .. IP Messenger works on UDP so there is no error checking and the file transfer is really very fast ..

well , theres no need to add netbios or install any additional software ........... i think the Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) does its job quite fine .
How can u all be so sure that i can access my network with a software even when the OS does not allow it to ?

1)i think u have not confiqured the network connections.... go to accessories... communication ..... network setup wizard..... and follow the instruction to set up a network.....

2) are u able to view ur computer in my networking places->view workgroup computers......if not then check if both of ur connected machine have same workroup ....
