Look at this
*www1.ap.dell.com/in/en/home/notebo...indhs1&~oid=in~en~78002~inspn_15_s541206in8~~

I'm assuming that you are in tight budget so the avobe will cost more adding tax, bag etc etc.

If so you can look at this
*www1.ap.dell.com/in/en/home/notebo...indhs1&~oid=in~en~78002~inspn_15_s541204in8~~

If you order from home you just need to pay the delivery charges extra and no hidden charges. Just check it out.

@reddick

If u r buying a laptop with genuine vista / 7, I wud suggest u avail the quick heal offer from microsoft wherein u get one year subscription of quick heal for rs.285/- only... at such cheap cost, it is much better than free as well as paid AV..

Their service in India is awesome n u just need to make a phone call n get ur issue sorted out.

Regarding laptops, 2 basic advices:
Do not keep it directly on ur bed.. preferably use laptop pad with fans (costs arnd rs.500-1k);
Clean the keyboard regularly; and
Do not overcharge.

Means u shud try n get those cooler pads on which u can place ur laptop. Some of them come with fans (they draw power from usb port of ur laptop) and it really helps to keep ur laptop cool esp. when watching a movie sitting on bed.

congratulations :)

My small advice,
Uninstall Mcaffee, and install Microsoft security essential. Its free and and better than Mcafee. Best thing is, its very light.

R u sure wht u r saying , I think McAfee is trusted one , even d DELL guys suggest me 2 purchase d yearly subscription of it , Is d suggested one is better than mcafee , or I go 4 d paid anti-virus?

Definitely not mcafee.. Its resource hungry and not as gud as the other ones available.

I wud suggest go for paid ones (I used pir@ted ones for quite sometime but the paid ones really give u peace and arent that expensive now).

I recommend quickheal (from my personal experience) after having used KIS, NOD and Norton. If u even get a virus with quickheal, u can call up their helpline and they wud in no time give u a solution.

Dell will always recommend Mcafee as they have some tie-up. And sales person work is only to sell product they have.

Go FREE, Don't waste money when you have better free alternative.
Antivirus -> Microsoft security essential (need genuine Windows OS)
Firewall -> Comodo Free Firewall
Anti-Spware -> Search and Destroy
System Cleaner -> cCleaner
