i second that. 4770 is a good card.
If you are nvidia fanboy, go for 9800GT else go for HD4770
btw, HD4770 pawns 9800GT in every single game that is available now.
@desiibond Pls.. specify the model no. of HD4770 and how much these card cost??
Sapphire: 7.2k-7.5k
MSI: 6.5k-7k
XFX: 8k+
There is no specific model number. I bought Sapphire and it's number is Sapphire Radeon HD4770
thats out of my budget....how about xfx 9600 gt 512 ddr3??this card is within my budget....
9600GT should be avialable for less than 5k and should be good choice.
thanks @desiibond i will buy 9600 gt from xfx.
@desiibond will 9600 gt can handle GTA4 with good frames??
9600GT Palit sells for 4.7k at itwares
but seriously, MSI 4770@ 6.5k is almost 2x better than this and consumes less power, produce less heat and OC really great.
@dOm1naTOr Thanks after thinking i sure that hd 4770 will performs great thatzwhy i will buy XFX Ati radeaon 4770 .....in 1024*724 how frames can be get in hd 4770???
there isnt anythin spcl about XFX, except for the higher price. Maybe ull get one boxed game free, and it reflects in its final price. XFX one will come close to 8k.
Seriously MSI and Sapphire are great brands.
The resultant fps depends on the game u are playing, ur cpu and memory, detail level in game and driver setings.
For one thing u can be sure of that @ 1024*768 u can max out every details with 2x or 4x AA and still churn more than 50fps, except for crysis and GTA4, which too will give acceptable playable fps at max detail.
And there is actually no need for AA or FSAA for a 17" CRT monotor, if u play at 1280*1024/1280*960 which can be called native[even if there isnt for CRTs].
And have a look at this benchs
