Now there are rumours about a NeXus 5.
Yet not even a single rumour about the NeXus 4 arriving in India...

Is anyone getting it/got it from the US play store...?

I'm really impressed with the speces and has everything MY next smartphone should have...

Any ideas?

Nexis?

Last I heard Google released a statement, where they said in a very clear manner, that they won't let people buy Nexus, if they can't spell its name correct.
Tough luck! Eh?

But seriously , what are the chances of Nexus 4 being released in India in near future ? A friend of mine was thinking of getting it , only to be told it's not available in India / No warranty if bought from outside.

As of now the chances are zero. People are getting it from the US are more than happy...

@offtopic troll master,

if i there is a life threatening disease, can you explain how the person got it in the first place?

yes i know about the cracking issue, its because of the heat changes in the glass which can cause it to crack. and also i dont know how but the glass is brittle when broken at a specific point ...

Because it is carcinogenic!!
There is strong association between NNA exposure and CA stomach!!
What is so difficult to understand!?
Regarding the 2nd question,mate,you need to have basic knowledge about cell cycle,apoptosis etc.to understand carcinogenesis.

I was thinking of ordering this from the Play store and get it shipped here via PPObox, but I am still waiting for a word on the official release. I also have concerns about warranty.

@Desmond David

If you get via PPO you won't get warranty(you probably know)
it's a risk most Nexus 4 buyers in India are willing to take. Even the Galaxy Nexus I bought abroad doesn't have warranty here although I will be able to get it repaired as Samsung reportedly launched the GNex here(after the Nexus 4 launch that too)

If it does come here I think LG will launch it after the next Nexus device is out(I may be wrong though)

Waiting is futile in my opinion. India ius ignored by Google when it comes to smartphones.
So if u want It, u Shud get it IMHO.

+1 Order from US or leave the idea of buying unofficially in India in reasonable price before April.

My main concern is that if I do get screwed, how do I get support? I have no one I know in the US.

Good news guys, Nexus may not come but its monstrous sibling the Optimus G is probably coming to India, if this piece of news is to believe: LG Optimus G coming to 50 more countries this month
And hard to believe India won't be on the list of 50 countries, if that happens I'll be so sad, also JB in box for the Optimus G that is about to launch internationally, and further rollouts, no news about JB for L9 or 4xHD though :|

That's some heartening news in this gloom. I wonder how much it will cost (I am sure that it will be exorbitant)

The only reason people are interested in Nexus 4 is it's stock vanilla android OS and it gets the android updates first. There is no point of Optimus G as alternative as we all know how great is LG in their OS and updates. :razz:

Hmmm. Nice. I think I should buy it. Does it have international warranty?

Nope. Just about any phone doesn‘t have it.

So I will have to ship it back to the States in case of an RMA? So that's 40+40= $80 = ~4,800 INR . Hmm
Should I get it or not? I don't think warranty would be an issue, it will end after a year anyway.

Re: Nexis 4 never coming to India?Nexis 4 never coming to India?

@Neo it will be worth it. Even I didn‘t worry for warranty when I bought my Galaxy Nexus.

Great phone for the price.

Maybe the mods should change the spelling of this thread topic, it's quite a common query and the spelling mistake can cause this link to NOT show up in Google search results :(
