Official August 2008 Desktop Thread

Posting Guidelines:

* Do not post full images, post only thumbnails or direct links
(host your images at www.imageshack.us get the thumbnail code from there and paste it here)

* The desktops thread is not to be used to post images of pornographic or otherwise provocative nature.

One question, who won the July's Desktop award ???

No award beta. Just official threads. Although we should have some kind of cheap award which no one wants. What say?

^^ They select a desky and publish it in the mag if I am not wrong. They have a monthly desktop column in the mag, whether they select one from here or no, that's something only Raaabo can answer.

Hmm. I was thinking more on the lines on a Tiger biscuit packet or something but I guess that sounds cooler

OS: Windows XP.
Wallpaper: Seasons- Autumn
Theme: Windows 7 theme, posted sometime back at TD.
Icons: I dl a few icons at random from the internet, and arranged them on the desktop in this way

but the contribution to such threads is steadily decreasing
Whats the point of the thread then?
PS: I'm not discouraging any contributors, only highlighting what I've noticed

+1. And that's why i posted my desk- however bad it mite be, its still gud enuf compared to what my frnds hav got

As for the text effect, not sure what I did. Some kind of filter from the filter gallery, and then used a blending mode (Multiply I think). Then brushed over it a bit (just a bit) using one of them bristly brushes. But the effect is mainly cause of the blending mode.
