my config is C2D 8400, 2x2gb 800MHz ram, Asus P5Q-Pro, 500gb HDD, XFX 8600Gt,...

the problem is that my vista ultimate 64bit is showing only 3gb, i even tried Win7 64bit, but still same. there is something called "Memory Re-mapping" in the bios. tried enabling and disabling it, but no use. wat shud i do to use all the 4gb ???

Are you sure its 64bit ? Because I see nothing wrong with your motherboard or CPU.

Try contacting Microsoft Help about it. Thats the most reliable space to ask. :)

Make sure you are using the latest bios. Also as far as I know youi need to enable memory remapping to show all of the 4GB ram.

BTW, what does cpu-z is showing on the mem tab. Is it 2x2GB.
