All kinds of reports are circulating regarding what has come to be known as "Operation Open Gates. *www.linuxbusinessweek.com/story/47771.htm

But now the Open Source Development Labs (OSDL) *www.theinquirer.net/?article=20763 is denying the Open Gates codename. There is, indeed, such a codename. The announcement behind it, involving OSDL and IBM, among others, is slated for January 25.

Some say the Open Gaters have a plan to shore up Linux against Microsoft patent saber-rattling. *www.microsoft-watch.com/article2/0,1995,1729352,00.asp

Rumour mongering

Are you in the business of rumour mongering ?

Did you hear the one about Linux having been writing by Santa Claus himself.... Linus said so himself. So it must be more accurate than the one you are spreading.

A nice place to read accurate news on Linux legal and patent issues is www.groklaw.net
