1. What is the purpose of
the computer? What all
applications and games
are you going to run?
(Stupid answers like
'gaming' or 'office work'
will not work. Be exact.
Which games? Which
applications? Avoid the
word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Surfing Internet, occasionally using few sofwares like winrar, nero. Will not be playing too much games except FIFA, GTA but it should be able to run few latest games like FIFA 14/PES 2014, GTA V nicely. It should be able to play HD videos.

2. What is your overall
budget? If you can extend
a bit for a more balanced
configuration, then
mention this too.
Ans: Maximum 20-22k. Not more than that.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No

4. Which Operating System
are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 7/8

5. How much hard drive
space is needed?
Ans: 320gb is enough for me.

6. Do you want to buy a
monitor? If yes, please
mention which screen size
and resolution do you
want. If you already have
a monitor and want to
reuse it, again mention
the size and resolution of
monitor you have.
Ans: Reusing my 4yr old 18.5" Acer P195hq lcd monitor for now.

7. Which components you
DON'T want to buy or
which components you
already have and plan on
reusing?
Ans: Keyboard, mouse, speaker, cabinet, monitor

8. When are you planning
to buy the system?
Ans: Within 3 months.

9. Have you ever built a
desktop before or will this
be done by an assembler?
Ans: I'll assemble it myself.

10. Where do you live?
Are you buying locally?
Are you open to buying
stuff from online shops if
you don't get locally?
Ans: I'll be buying it from Lamington Road, Mumbai.

11. Anything else which
you would like to say?
Ans: Please suggest intel based setup only. How is this motherboard : Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H?

intel
------
pentium g 2020 -3.5k
gigabyte ga h61m d2h - 3.3k
corsair value select 4gb - 2.2k
amd hd 7750 - 7k
wd blue 500gb - 3k
asus 24b5st - 1k
antec vp450p - 2.6k

well, if you are buying 3 months later, better create new thread 2weeks before you purchase.because newer components will be released by then and price of the existing components will also change. if you want it now ,you go ahead with above config.

if you can increase little more, go for i3. dont exactly know whether g2020 can handle gta 5. most probably it will.

I am thinking to raise my budget to Rs.30000(max). I'll go for Core i3(instead of pentium g2020) along with the components that you all have suggested.

So is FX 6300 better than i3?

i3 is better on single threaded applications. fx performs better in mult ithreaded apps. but who rely on single threaded apps only? so definitely go for fx .
