1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans:photoshop, 3ds max, and all animation stuff but at medium level nothing pro.
no intentions of gaming whatsoever
2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:34k, 1k flexible

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:
no
4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:
win 7 64 bit
5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans:500 gb min

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:
hd monitor 22'
7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:need everything including speakers and ups

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:this week

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:yes, ill assemble it

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:
Mumbai, pls suggest shops, i've often noticed prime and itwares cost more than street shops like newlink...why?
11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: m open to both AMD and Intel..it would be nice if a tablet can be bought in same budget, can cut down on hdd to 250 gb if budget demands,
gpu is must.

want one more monitor for gaming for another rig, full hd led atleast 24'', budget for this monitor alone is 11k seperate from rig above...

thanks in advance!

Just clear one thing to me: The budget of 35K is excluding the Monitor or you want another monitor for a different setup?

Want monitor for another rig, that 11 k is entire different not related to designing rig, 35 k and 11k are separate pcs..budget of two can't be combined or mix matched.

Could you increase your budget to say, at least 40K? 3D Studio needs reasonably good processing power and for that you need a good CPU + Processor combination. It is little difficult to include everything at this budget for 3DMax PC.

Here is some overview of the config:-

AMD Phenom II X6 1075T @ 7.6K
Asus M5A-88M AM3+ @ 5.2K
Corsair Value Select 4GB X 2 1333 MHz DDR3 @ 2.4K
WD Caviar Blue 500 GB HDD @ 4.1K
LG 22X SATA DVD R/W @ 0.85K
AOC E2251FW 22" IPS Panel LED Display @ 8.05K
MSI HD 6770 1 GB GDDR5 @ 6.3K
Normal Cabinet w/o SMPS @ 0.8K
Corsair CX 430 V2 PSU @ 2.2K
Altec Lancing BX1121 Speaker @ 1K
APC 600VA UPS @ 2K

Total: 38.5K

What is the difference between 78 and 88 chipset?

880 series is better and feature rich mobo. They are designed for the AM3 processors whereas 700 series was originally designed for AM2+ processors, the 1st gen Phenom processors. Later support has benn added for the Phenom II series or AM3 series through some BIOS modifications and sometime minor hardware upgrade.

Now 1075T is a pretty powerful processor and has a TDP of 125W. It is not recommended to use these processors with lower VRM or cheaper boards as it significantly reduce the overclocking potential and sometimes even the Turbo Boost feature (3.5 GHz in case of 1075T).

yes it does.

DO NOT CHEAP OUT ON THE MOTHERBOARD if you are buying a Phenom II X6. (hexa core)

Guys thanks for overhelming response, m on the brink of buying the rig, one last question, will this rig sustain solid works? Will be working on almost 150mb files at a time simultaneously with AutoCAD, budget extended to 40k now..professional grade grp crd must.
