Don't you think laptops are getting too overpriced for now? Anything above 25k for dual core is too much IMO.
Since lockdown last year, laptop demand grew & hence the price, esp for ones under 50k. R3 3200U laptops with SSD were 30k earlier & you could find R5 3500U + SSD + 8GB RAM for 37-38k comfortably, not anymore though. Sadly nothing much that can be done by us.
WFH is one factor, another major factor is Education. Even if parents have a laptop, they would have to buy another for their kid's classes. My cousin didn't need a laptop for her college before lockdown, now she has one. I know many students are just using phones, still, those who can afford are getting a laptop as that's better.

Both are good for their price.
R3 4300U is 4c/4t vs 5300U's 4c/8t. R3 5300U should perform better than the old R5 3500U which was a 4c/8t CPU based on older architecture (Zen+).

Oh that is very cool then coz saw 3500u based units over 46k. And the 5300u option is lightweight, has alexa built in, and offers a 512gb ssd. I hope 14 inch screen is not to small for classes.
Alexa is likely just the app from MS store which you can install in any device. That laptop surely looks good for 42k.

ok..finally deciding between a acer or a lenovo..please help me pick up a ssd laptop..where i can add RAM...will pick up from a dealer..budget below 35K?...or else 40K max...can accept either of these brands..screen size 15.6
you need to reach out to Acer's service center to upgrade your hardware in warranty period. Find out which brand's service center is nearby to you or easily accessible.
If Acer laptop already has 8GB RAM and SSD and if its cheaper then consider getting it. Otherwise get Lenovo.
