Please advice me the better of teh two with the price of each
pentium D or pentium 4(both 3.0 Ghz)

Pentium D is obviously better but get an Athlon64 X2 or Core2 Duo instead.

Pentium D is better among the two coz its dualcore and built on better architecture than P4
