Men do not need soap. I use a rough lava rock to clean my skin
I use a tree branch or brush made of barb wire to comb my hair
pure alcohol for a perfume

I use dettol soap & wildstone deo.

P.S. : Stay away from Lifebuoy soaps..You'll be using the same bar of soap till the day you die, but the freakin soap will never dissolve.. :/ maybe thats why its named Lifebuoy ( lifetime would've been better ) :p

ahh..maybe Lifebuoy took the message & made a new soap..good for them... :D :p

Pears is good...very mild soap that doesn't affect skin. :) +1 to that !

Few years back, my skin was having allergic reaction to most soaps..only pears, dettol & johnsons baby soap suited me..
Johnsons baby soap made me incredibly sleepy..I play tennis for about 2 hours in the morning. after using johnsons soap, i used to sleep like crazy during classes... @__@..thankfully, Dettol saved me from that sleepy hell. :p

Actually, that explains a lot ;)

On topic: I use whatever shower gel is there in the bathroom. It usually ends up being Fiama Di Willis. I don't use any kind of perfume/deo.

dead sea-salt soap - have never used it, but recently read that it is one of the most effective things to apply when your face is suffering from acne/acne scars/pus-filled boils, etc. it sells for a little higher cost, and availability might be an issue at some places.

another very simple and unconventional approach to bathing is not to rub your body with the commercial run-of-the-mill soaps on a daily basis, unless you are really getting the sliminess accumulated on your skin due to dirt and pollution. simple curd can be applied for about 20 mins on your face and on scalp/hair, and then washed off while bathing. it gives a really nice and smooth texture to your skin and hair and makes them 'glow'. feels pleasant after using it (though the slight smell of the curd will hang for some time, but others may not notice it. in any case, it isn't an offensive smell ;) ). one can follow this 2-3 times a week. also, if your skin isn't excessively oily, rubbing it properly with coconut oil before bathing also helps. same goes for the scalp;though one should bathe only after atleast half-an hour after doing this.

in case of conventional soaps, i like to use some available at the 'khaadi graamodyog', and mostly those that are neem-based, like 'neem', 'margo', 'hamam', etc., apart from the likes of pears, dettol, etc.

for shaving, mostly a menthol-based cream like the one from Godrej, and a combination of an old-school razer (one that uses that thin original blade) and a mach 3, the shaving-session being finished with the application of alum, old spice, and either vicco turmeric/aloe-vera gel or the cooling cream that you find at men's parlours. :)

EDIT: just noticed that i wrote more than what was asked, and missed the point of deos/perfumes.

i use a deo or a perfume extremely rarely.

okay okay let me be serious.
real men need to be dirty, girls like em that way
aur vaise bhi, sher bhi kabhi nahate ya brush karte hain ?

I use dettol soap for a regular bath.
Dove anti oil face wash, Garnier Men Oil clear face wash sometimes
Garnier pure active face scrub to exfoliate the skin after a shave.
Gillette shave gel with mark3 turbo

Head and shoulders shampoo with Garnier hair conditioner

sensodyne toothpaste as half my teeth have fallen off and the rest don't let me sleep during the day because of the pain

and what else?

yeah, set wet cool deo, well this keeps changing, from axe to adidas to brute to park avenue, all have their place.
for a perfume my fav is Vdy and MAN[this one smells like boomer bubble gum, girls dig it, they just wanna eat me up:cool:

I don't use any hair oil or gel or cream for my hair

oh and Loreal hair color
due to a bizarre experiment gone wrong at professor snape's class, my hair, instead of growing more, did grow a lot but turned all white and wont turn black, Hermione tried many things but looks like late Dumbledore took the formula to his grave. Hence, I have to color them on regular basis.

I believe in taking care of myself with a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine to maintain my figure.

In the morning my face is a little puffy so I'll put on some ice pack. Then I use a deep pore cleanser lotion.

In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser then a honey almond body scrub and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub.

Then I apply a herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine.

Then moisturizer, then an anti aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

;)

Imagine this scene :

its that time of the month when your parents are going out to get monthly provision items & you have decided to stay at home for porn for studying for exams.. You are checking your cupboard in case you want to tell your mom to buy some notebooks for you. You move over to the place where you keep your hygiene items like deodorant/hair gels/face wash/creams/etc.. & you suddenly realise your deodorant is about to get finished. You give a loud call to your parents : aate samay kamasutra ka deo laana mere liye !!!!

I do not recommend using soaps with active anti-bacterial (germ killing) agents in them. They either kill too many useful bacteria (which are greater in number) or cause resistance to emerge among the deadly bacteria. Endgame is bad for you. Stick to regular soap and use antibacterial soap only when recommended to fight infection temporarily by a doctor.

occasionally (once-twice a week), apply curd on your scalp and hair, massage well and gently, take a bath after about 20 mins, and then either apply a coconut hair oil (very little) or Dr. Oorjita Jain's Aloe Vera gel (this is IMHO the best hair-gel one could apply!).

P.S. - move about in the city with a cap on your head whenever possible. goes a long way in maintaining hair & scalp-health.

the curd is also good at keeping the body cool..
Also, don't frequently use shampoos no matter what brand.. regular use of shampoos could worsen your hair quality.
Wash your hair with warm water as it makes hairs softer..

If you're going out a lot, twice a week sounds enough..but i wouldn't recommend more than that to anyone.

whenever i apply it properly, i feel an aura of coolness/calmness & soothing freshness lingering on me for quite a while!!

@pratik - you read about effects of consistent use of detergent-based shampoos. one near-excellent alternative to a shampoo/hair-wash is the aanwla-reethaa-shikaakaai concoction! ask your mother about it. it takes some effort (finding ingredients and preparing it), but its worth the work! your hair would feel so soft & smooth after using it than any det-based shampoo could possibly ever give, and all the accumulated dust & soot on your scalp would give way to a feeling of coolness. also helps if you get boils on your scalp. but use this too not more than twice a week (with gap in between).

Last time I applied lemon it tingled a lot and then loads of blisters after that. That went the negative way for me. I applied it thinking that it would exfoliate the dead cells but it probably caused burst of acne.

Man guys have to suffer with hair problems at some point of time :(

My hair are soft and thin... Any oil/solution to make them thicker??

it's a typical men's-issue!

these problems have to be tackled holistically, even if you take medications for them. i still vividly remember, during my pre-sea training days, near lonavala, esp. during winters, how my hair used to develop superb lustre and health (only the top part, as there wan't significant hair on sides of the head - crew-cut!! ;) ). a well-balanced diet, near-excellent weather, and a regular rigorous physical regimen were the prime reasons for it (those were THE days!).

genetics and climate/weather-conditions aside, if you can dedicate time & efforts, which i feel you should, i will provide some steps pointwise below that you may consider following:

1. whatever the new hip hairstyle making waves in the town, DON'T comb your hair in spike-fashion, or comb them against their 'flow' of growth (ie, if your hair have a growth downwards, comb them in that direction only, and not in the opposite, ie, towards the back).

2. while combing, don't just move the comb touching the hair only. apply pressure to your scalp too. it needs stimulation. also, there are a few wooden head-massagers available in the market, which have their tips rounded off in a ball-shape. take it, and press it againts your scalp at various points, esp. near the forehead where the hairline starts receding, and while pressing it at a point, rotate it 20 times in clockwise manner, and 20 times in the counter manner. this can be done with finger-tips too. choose what you like.

3. massage your scalp with oil before going to bed. not needed daily though. i used to use the famous 'navratna oil' years back, but now i live at a humid place, and hence i use it rarely. if you live at a place with a dry climate, you could use it. but it's said that one should apply only that oil on your body, which can be used for eating as well. hence, most recommended would be to use almond oil, coconut oil. occasionally, you may use castor oil as well. this thick oil is known to stimulate hair-growth on the eyebrows and on the scalp.

4. avoid eating foods that increase heat in the body. too much heat in the body results in the falling of hair. drinking too much tea, coffee, soft-drinks, eating too much junk-food, etc - avoid these. include a good amount of protein in your diet, through nuts, eggs (if you eat eggs), dairy-products, etc. avoid very oily, spicy food. take more of whole foods and a good amount of roughage as well.

5. exercise regularly!! and by that i mean, not the 'old-man-walking' stuff. exercise in a way that you sweat profusely and go out of breath (sweating while doing home-chores doesn't count!! :D ). you can't do such heavy exercise daily though, hence, take rests in between, when you could just brisk walk and 'drink in' fresh air. make sure to practice hand-stands, sheershaasan, etc., which aid in better circulation of blood to your head/scalp. practice these gradually.

6. the urban-dust & pollution is highly detrimental to your scalp and hair-health as well! whenever you have to travel out, wear a cap or a bandana. to wash your hair, use shampoos only occasionally, and that too, a medicated shampoo is what i would recommend. an aanwla-reetha-shikaakaai solution is also a very good concoction to use.

7. no need to sport long hair-like-a-bear. long hair are uneasy and tough to handle, and prone to much falling as well. have a regular hair-cut, and ask the hair-dresser to just trim the ends of your hair on top if you don't want to cut them short. also, at the end, ask him to massage your scalp with the massaging-machine. its a portable hand-held electric massager. you would feel heavenly after one such session!

8. again, i would write, use curd occasionally on your scalp and hair. provides coolness.

9. in a day, keep wetting your hair and scalp with little amount of water. don't dry them completely; let them remain wet for a few minutes.

10. for gels, use either natural aloe-vera extract if you have the plant at your home, otherwise get one without any preservatives in it (for eg, D. Jain's Aloe Vera gel). after applying it in the morning, you could wet/wash your hair and scalp after half a day or in the evening, as it would leave your scalp dry by that time.

11. consult a hair-expert if the problem is severe. but even then, don't forego the above steps. also, you might've observed that wherever i've mentioned the word 'hair' with regards to its care, i've also used the word 'scalp' alongwith it. that's because care for both go together.

i may have forgotten some points to add, but all-in-all, these should suffice. don't get disappointed if you don't get results within days. everyone's body takes its own time to respond, and the time also depends on the severity of the issue. follow suggestions diligently and patiently, and am sure you would get to see good results!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Something effective for reducing or in fact eliminating acne and the scars ?? The facewash just don't work on my skin type. It's oily. ( Have been trying almost every type of F.W. there ) .
Really pissed off with this problem.

most of the facewashes are 'eyewashes'!! ;)

commercial advertisements have so much penetrated into our minds, that we almost always tend to misuse our intellect. don't blindly run after such products; rather, take a pause, think, and then take a step.

most of the points that i wrote above apply in your case as well, esp. the food & exercise-part. i know about your self-absorbed type issues from another thread here ;) , but i would simply recommend you to shake it off forcefully! otherwise your mind would try tooth-and-nail to make you your slave! get out, get going! don't think over things, don't brood (this also very much results in acne and black-scars). simply don't think much, exercise your will on your mind, and move out to do some fartlek training, move out with friends, go get drenched in the rains, etc. this is one of the best cures for mind-cravings and skin-problems as well! when your mind is resisting your nudges to follow a good path - simply. exercise. your. force!

and regarding using personal-hygiene stuff, there is absolutely no need to complicate the matter using all kinds of detergents! get a dead sea-salt soap and use it occasionally. i also used to have a very oily-skin, esp. when i used to live at a place with a dry climate (and now when i live at a place with a humid climate, the oiliness has come under a lot of control. life is funny!). regular soaps aggravate the issue, hence, use them very infrequently. get a mild medicated soap. applying a neem-concoction should also help. acne can also be a result of excessive body-heat. hence, avoid contradicting food. apply curd (and pure 'multaani mitti' as well). this acne issue also gets subsided with time for many people. i had the problem of pimples from my teens well to my youth, but it gradually subsided towards the later years. i still get big red boils on my back and boils on my scalp, but that's to do partly with genetics, the place i live at (its a humid place), body-heat. i don't consume very oily food and nor i like spicy stuff. i follow a heavy physical-roster (though not to prevent skin-problems). take a look at one of my pics shot recently, below (i don't like to take snaps of people nor do i like to get my snaps clicked, hence, this is one of those very rare ones i have of myself ;) ):

*i.imgur.com/5oHBjMyl.jpg

here, the patch of my cheek besides my nose and overgrown moustache, that patch used to be dark red & brown in cycles. i used to get a lot of boils & pimples (though not pus-filled) on that area, and our rule of shaving daily, sometimes twice in a day, had aggravated the issue quite a lot! however, due to the above reasons, that issue has subsided to such an extent that at first glance, no one would ever be able to tell that that area of my cheek was a pimple-and-scar home-turf!! ;)
you could still see some faint remnants of the earlier denizens of that area there, and a minuscule line of tiny red-dots/boils there, but they come and go, and are not irksome.

P.S. - apply curd regularly on your face, esp. on scars left out by dead/dying pimples, and rub that part well and gently. you would see the results in a few weeks yourselves!

I used to keep long hair :D...and eventually they became the cause for my hair fall...now I keep short hair and use ayurvedic hair oil every alternate day before going to sleep...But every time I wash my hair...few strands of hair always fall :( Will try using Castor oil and also I don't use shampoo...just a normal bathing soap.

Although I don't eat oily food items but I will definitely avoid any.
Pillow covers ??

i think this is the reason why :

Pillow covers has some oily stains because of the oil in your hair. If you sleep on your side, there's a chance that these stains could lead to oily face/acne. Hence, its advised.

it's a typical men's-issue!

these problems have to be tackled holistically, even if you take medications for them. i still vividly remember, during my pre-sea training days, near lonavala, esp. during winters, how my hair used to develop superb lustre and health (only the top part, as there wan't significant hair on sides of the head - crew-cut!! ;) ). a well-balanced diet, near-excellent weather, and a regular rigorous physical regimen were the prime reasons for it (those were THE days!).

genetics and climate/weather-conditions aside, if you can dedicate time & efforts, which i feel you should, i will provide some steps pointwise below that you may consider following:

1. whatever the new hip hairstyle making waves in the town, DON'T comb your hair in spike-fashion, or comb them against their 'flow' of growth (ie, if your hair have a growth downwards, comb them in that direction only, and not in the opposite, ie, towards the back).

2. while combing, don't just move the comb touching the hair only. apply pressure to your scalp too. it needs stimulation. also, there are a few wooden head-massagers available in the market, which have their tips rounded off in a ball-shape. take it, and press it againts your scalp at various points, esp. near the forehead where the hairline starts receding, and while pressing it at a point, rotate it 20 times in clockwise manner, and 20 times in the counter manner. this can be done with finger-tips too. choose what you like.

3. massage your scalp with oil before going to bed. not needed daily though. i used to use the famous 'navratna oil' years back, but now i live at a humid place, and hence i use it rarely. if you live at a place with a dry climate, you could use it. but it's said that one should apply only that oil on your body, which can be used for eating as well. hence, most recommended would be to use almond oil, coconut oil. occasionally, you may use castor oil as well. this thick oil is known to stimulate hair-growth on the eyebrows and on the scalp.

4. avoid eating foods that increase heat in the body. too much heat in the body results in the falling of hair. drinking too much tea, coffee, soft-drinks, eating too much junk-food, etc - avoid these. include a good amount of protein in your diet, through nuts, eggs (if you eat eggs), dairy-products, etc. avoid very oily, spicy food. take more of whole foods and a good amount of roughage as well.

5. exercise regularly!! and by that i mean, not the 'old-man-walking' stuff. exercise in a way that you sweat profusely and go out of breath (sweating while doing home-chores doesn't count!! :D ). you can't do such heavy exercise daily though, hence, take rests in between, when you could just brisk walk and 'drink in' fresh air. make sure to practice hand-stands, sheershaasan, etc., which aid in better circulation of blood to your head/scalp. practice these gradually.

6. the urban-dust & pollution is highly detrimental to your scalp and hair-health as well! whenever you have to travel out, wear a cap or a bandana. to wash your hair, use shampoos only occasionally, and that too, a medicated shampoo is what i would recommend. an aanwla-reetha-shikaakaai solution is also a very good concoction to use.

7. no need to sport long hair-like-a-bear. long hair are uneasy and tough to handle, and prone to much falling as well. have a regular hair-cut, and ask the hair-dresser to just trim the ends of your hair on top if you don't want to cut them short. also, at the end, ask him to massage your scalp with the massaging-machine. its a portable hand-held electric massager. you would feel heavenly after one such session!

8. again, i would write, use curd occasionally on your scalp and hair. provides coolness.

9. in a day, keep wetting your hair and scalp with little amount of water. don't dry them completely; let them remain wet for a few minutes.

10. for gels, use either natural aloe-vera extract if you have the plant at your home, otherwise get one without any preservatives in it (for eg, D.

For Dandruff problems :

1. Regularly Brush your hair to remove the dead skin..

2. Check your Shampoo !! If you frequently use shampoo, stop using it. Frequent shampoo can cause your scalp to dry.
If you use shampoo normally ( like 1-2 times a week ) & still getting dandruff, change your shampoo. :D

3. Apply Neem leaves paste to your scalp.. This definately works as my brother used to have dandruff problems too & he used this remedy to solve it.

4. Another way is to apply curd to your scalp..Curd ensures that the scalp doesn't not remain dry..

hope this helps. :)

good to know that you dont use hair-gels, and yes, almond-oil is good. why i had stressed on 'usual commercially available' 'oils' was because most of them are no good, and its recommended to use only those oils on your body which you use to eat. since almond and coconut-oils are light, use them. patanjali ayurved's coco oil and aanwla-reetha shampoo (the brown pack) are very good, and you may use them (in case making this shampoo at home for you is tough).

'ashs1' has very well summarised some good points. apart from that, be very sure to cover your hair/head with a bandana/cap whenever you are out travelling on city-roads. the polluted-air is a major factor behind a dry and unhealthy scalp and hair.

Natural ways of treating Dandruff & itching:

-Make a paste of lemon juice and fuller's earth and apply this mixture to the scalp once a week.

-Keep curd in the open for three days and massage your hair with it for half an hour before washing.

-Mix cider vinegar with equal quantities of water and dab onto the scalp with cotton wool before washing.

If you have severe dandruff issue use "Selsun" shampoo twice a week. See the direction on bottle to use it.

And rest of the days use H&S shampoo. Do not use OIL till dandruff issue is resolved.

Try this routine for 1 month and your dandruff would be gone.

And, when dandruff is gone its very important to keep them away.
1>Use only H&S when you are convinced that dandruff is gone. Use this for at least 6 months before switching to another shampoo
2>Don't use combs used by other

----------------------------------------------------------

the question is - moustache-wax, anyone?! :D
am going to prepare it in a day or two, and hence asking. if cant get any reply by that time, then would write about my method of preparation and experience in applying it later.

for dandruff, as per my own experience in my late teens, regarding shampoos, the 2 that worked the best were selsun and home-made shampoo of reetha-aanwla-sheekaakaai. couple these with some other tips of hair-care as mentioned earlier, and see the results. BTW, do the dandruff-afflicted gentry here also get small and several boils (pointed ones) on their forehead?!

It was not a joke, why you laughed?

1. The guy who replied to the original post is "a_medico" and no medico will believe that story. So his answer was a joke.
2. The original post in question had spelling/grammar worthy of laughing. The response of "a_medico" was simply an exaggeration of those mistakes designed to be funny. Or at least that is what I got after reading it.
3. Hence my "Ha ha ha :)"

3 liters means not exactly 3 liters. It could be 2.75 or even 3.25 liters, either way. It all depends on hormonal imbalance.

Click any of the results and you will see that your "3 litre myth" is in fact a myth.

Even if you dont believe, lets do some maths.

When you say dandruff, there are many things to consider. The first level is simply scaling. This is natural skin shedding. There is no significant itching. The degree of scaling varies from person to person. The skin flakes are mostly white/dry.
Then there is Pityriasis Capitis. Here the flakes are still relatively dry and small but are generally noticeable. There may be some itching but there will not be any pain/pus.
Next is Seborrheic Dermatitis. This is generally associated with hairfall as the fungus enters hair roots. There would be yellowish/greasy flakes, oily scalp, few or many painful/pus discharging hair roots. The flakes are larger and more sticky. The head may be smelly.
Simple dandruff is best managed at home. Apply hair oil sometime before bath, wash with regular shampoo 2 - 3 times a week.
The 2nd stage would require more frequent shampooing using anti-dandruff shampoos available at super markets. Sometimes if the symptoms bother you or you see much hair loss, it may be better to consult a Dermatologist.
Seborrheic Dermatitis almost always requires a consultation with Dermatologist for proper management.

a very good & detailed post!
another thing that i would like to add to this, not directly related to dandruff though, is about the issue of occurrence of boils on the scalp. when these dry up, they leave behind some rough, flaky skin. however, in my opinion, these can be countered through some simple changes to lifestyle, like diet-changes, inclusion of rigorous physical exercises in the daily routine, keeping one's hair relatively short, not oiling much, etc. seeking the root-cause and rectifying it would go a long way in such a condition. as for dandruff, with consistent care, it fades away after a few months/years. teenage-years are what i feel the most susceptible to this, coupled with acne on the face, shoulders, (upper) back (dandruff could also cause small pimples to grow on the forehead).

For Dandruff problems :

3. Apply Neem leaves paste to your scalp.. This definately works as my brother used to have dandruff problems too & he used this remedy to solve it.

4. Another way is to apply curd to your scalp..Curd ensures that the scalp doesn't not remain dry..

hope this helps. :)

Maybe because their hands would get more infected by touching the cock (tap) than touching their own cocks(the ones producing 3 litres).

Even if they wash their hands, they'd get reinfected as soon as they touch their handsets, which are probably the dirtiest things around.

Imagine this once:

Case1: 6 months after a minor surgery one woman was diagnosed with surgical gloves & cotton inside her stomach which was a cause of intense pain for her.
Case2: Liver surgery was done on a woman who came for sterilization and vice versa on another woman who were sharing beds in a hospital room.
Case3: An young man woke up in a Govt. Hospital who came to know that he was sterilized permanently and guess where he was night before? In a pub...

All the above cases I read in news papers recently and that too happened in good cities. Now assume what is the condition prevailing in Rural & Semi-Urban areas.

Hey guys, any tips to avoid hair-fall?

I could have suggested curd and neem ke patte for your temporary satisfaction, but seriously, it's genetic and hormonal and it is subjective. Accept the fact and go ahead with your life. Appreciate other good things that you have in you and others don't. Hairfall is not the end of the world.

P.S. - There's also an option of transplant. You can sue the doctor after the procedure fails. Unfortunately, result might not be in your favor.

do you also hammer your bristles in and bite them off from the inside instead of shaving?

3.Eat light food (as said by Faun)
4.Eilachi,Sauf helps bad breath
5.after finishing eating always gargle the mouth while doing handwash

Earlier i used a neem toothpaste, then due to its temporary unavailability, i started using colgate (don't remember the name, its a transparent pack, blue crystals in the gel)
then my friends started to complain about my bad breath.

since i'm in home now,
food there seems much more horrible than what it seemed when i was there.
overall, sometimes its pretty better to have maggi or something from the hostel canteen than to eat the mess food,
further, in the city, its just one Pure veg eating corner (but thats pretty tasty, so no problem :p ), every where else, its mixed.

if u dont want to colour ur hair, mehendi is best probably, and is safer than colour.

there r some organic herbs that gives darker colour to mehendi when mixed, but i forgot name. ask some mehendi wallah instead.

but srsly, what is the problem with white hair, i just got 9-10 white hairs, and ppl often point them out, how weird.

anyways, if u dont want to colour ur whole head white, u may just try painting a stripe with white, that looks hot.

Mix lemon drops/juice with potato paste. ( mashed potatoes) & apply it as a face pack. The lemons, being acidic in nature, removes accumulated dirt ( also reduces pimples as well) and the potatoes have bleaching property, making the skin fairer.
Use this method maybe thrice a week as lemons might sting a bit due to acidity.

its raw potato.. Grate the potato & mix the lemon juice in it. ( like Zangetsu said, lemon juice will also sting if you have scars/cut marks, so take care ). You can also add rosewater to it.
Once the lemon juice/rosewater is added, Beat the mixture to a paste & then apply it for about 20 minutes.
Don't apply lemon juice much as it too much of it results in dry skin.

About dark circles

You can use the same procedure for dark circles, but take utmost care while applying it near the eyes. Infact, avoid adding lemon juice if you're gonna apply it near eyes.
For separate remedy, you can keep cucumber/tomato/potato slices over your eyes for 15-20 minutes. Cucumber and tomato juices can also be applied.
& a good ( atleast ) 7 hour sleep at night is mandatory. :p :D

going to suggest somewhat contrary to what you've mentioned - you may use an edible oil to massage your scalp (and feet as well) before sleeping at night (would prevent the dryness), wash it off with your shampoo in the morning.

dont know if you will get it at your place. there's an aloe vera extract product we get here in Maharashtra, named 'D. Jain aloe vera extract'. pure extract with no additives as per the ingredients. although its suggested to apply on hair for 20 mins before bathing, i sometimes use it as a 'hair-gel', just because i find its holding-power better than any gel, combined with the feeling of freshness that it provides. i use it that way after applying curd to my scalp and hair before/while bathing, and then the extract to my face and hair, and i find that it keeps the hair held till evening or more.

P.S. - curd itself, if applied for some 20 mins before bathing, will help your hair kept held for a long time. also gives a freshness-feel (although a 'curdy' scent remains). add to that the aloe vera extract, and both the aspects (freshness & holding-power) get doubled!

Sorry to post before anyone suggesting saiyanGok about electric trimmer/shaving machine.
just adding a filter for your convenience..

Where you want to use that :p

I had pimple issues and I suffered from it for years until I realized that I just need to rinse my face with water just when it feels oily.
Never wash your face with soap.
Use a lemon based facewash or you can also try garnier pure facewash.

Me too had pimple issues, when I was doing my BE.
I went to chemist for some solution for that, and the chemist himself suggested me to use Clincitop gel
This was most effective on the pimples/acme, flattens all pimples within a day (if you stop touching them after applying it). But still pimples used to appear after applying it in 2-3 days.

Later somehow i got to know that regular bathing soaps(lux etc) can be one of the causes for it. Since then stopped using soaps on face and used garnier face wash (power light mostly & intense fresh rarely), after that the pimples stopped appearing compared with the time i used soap.

I use it daily for face wash/while bathing, if its over - I just wash face without any soap.

I dont wash hairs daily
, because i catch cold easily. Doctor has adviced me to wash hairs at the end of bathing, and keep a gap of atleast 1 day between washes

Here I guess is the root cause of your dandruff... As applying oil over damp hair after bath locks the water on the scalp resulting in dryness...

Apply oil only on dry hair
Thanks for that info, i too do that & will try this.

Mall pricing is crazy. I went to shoppers stop once to try the coolwater. They charged the mrp. Not gonna spend 3k on a perfume. Their margins are huge. I'm not gonna pay that much so they can maintain the large number of stuff, the AC and the retail space.

It's difficult to tell genuine product when it comes to fragrances purchased online. No way to identify except if you have tested it before.

Go to mall. Test one out and purchase it online. If it good then keep it or else get a refund. Check the return policy before buying.

Is it not so good to wear denim shirts on denim jeans for men?
I have heard a couple of folks saying it's not attractive.
I bought a ton of denim pairs recently. :!

This one is good
Creed Aventus (Eau De Parfum)
Aqua Di Gio Profumo – Giorgio Armani

they both are EDP, so they last longer than EDT (Davidoff coolwater etc)

I have heard that once you start doing electric toothbrush, you won't go back.
But then I haven't tried personally. But its been in my wishlist to buy since long. Didn't get it yet.

I'm tempted to get one of those, but brushing teeth is still kind of a chore in any case.

Do any of you guys have ear wax problems? If so what do you do? I use Hydrogen Peroxide to clean excess wax.

I have heard that using IEMs tends to exacerbate ear wax problems, so I have reduced using those.

Wax is natural process and it keeps the ears clean and protect. But if access Wax is generated then it could it be due to infection or other ear problems.
Refer to ENT specialist and they will guide you best.

You can use ear cleaning kit to clean them.

About the bold part, so you just pour in Hydrogen peroxide in your ears by yourself? If yes, then what steps you follow?

This is what I do:
 • Pour some Hydrogen Peroxide in a small saucer or bowl.
 • Get some cotton.
 • Lie on a bed on your side, but keep the cotton and the bowl close.
 • Soak some hydrogen peroxide in the cotton and then squeeze a few (about 10) drops into your ear that's pointing upwards.
 • There will be some effervescence as the Hydrogen Peroxide starts bubbling and loosen the wax.
 • Wait about 3-4 mins.
 • Put some dry cotton in your ears as deep as you can, get up from the bed and point your ears downwards.
 • Shake the cotton in your ears until all the hydrogen peroxide gets soaked into the cotton along with some dissolved wax. You may have to use multiple pieces of dry cotton. You will still hear some bubbling for a while after you're done, but it will stop eventually.
 • Repeat for the other ear if needed.
 • Do this a 2-3 times a day if you still experience discomfort.

Note that this should only be done in case of mild inconvenience. If your ear feels completely blocked by the wax, like if you pushed the wax deep into your ear canal, then you should go to an ENT specialist.

I would echo what he said. You shouldn't clean ear wax just cause you want to. It's a good thing. If facing any issue refer a doctor.

You should not use Hydrogen Per Oxide on Skin for cleaning purpose, as it could irritate your skin.
