I have 2 years old Redmi Note 7S.
Since past week I'm getting serious issue.
When a pop up notification come up from Whatsapp or telegram apps my phone getting OFF instantly.
After restarting manually it working fine.
I don't have any other issue with phone such as heating issue.
Is it time to buy a new mobile phone before too late or something else ?
Please help me.

Looks like a loose battery connector but if this happens only during notifications then perhaps it's a software issue. If possible, try it with a different ROM if you have unlocked bootloader and see if you can replicate the issue.

Then perhaps backup your data and try to factory reset?

Then it will go back to Old MIUI ?
May be to MIUI Ver 8 ?
I can't remember yet.

I don't think so. IIRC, if you have installed updates it will also install the latest factory image. But I am not sure, perhaps someone else here can confirm. Otherwise check with Mi customer care or some online community before proceeding.

No.
Actually I just remembered.
When Redmi CC reset my phone it lost all updates. But there is no option then it's the only option left. Unfortunately my daily internet data quota is 2gb. I have no Broadband internet.

Any chance you can ignore the updates and continue using phone like normal? Or just top up with a data pack, 1 day data pack are cheaper I think because of less validity.

Factory reset will revert it to the last version you updated your system. So, it will be MIUI 12 in your case. You won't be reverted to MIUI 11 or MIUI 8.
Take a backup of the phone.

The phone issue of OFF on notifications is related to Kernel getting corrupt which is restarting your phone. I had similar issue long time back with my HTC phone. Factory reset should probably fix it.

I suggest you root your phone and install custom kernel with Stock Vanilla Android for better performance.

By any chance does it only happen when your phone vibrates? Try putting on silent, if it still switches off, then it is on software side. If vibration is causing issue then vibration motor is the cause.

like others, if it is software issue, i too wud suggest you to flash custom rom.

Then better stay away from Rooting & Bootloader unlocking. In doing so you might mess up the whole process and phone will become brick.

Tried to turn off vibration totally.
Most time it's working but few times again same issue. Don't know why.
Please tell me if there is any easy way to backup on my pc or sd card. May be I really need to hard reset my phone and go back to stock version of miui.

Just connect your phone using the USB cable, set your phone to File transfer mode and copy all the important stuff to some folder on your PC/laptop.

Buying phones from as redmi etc., will definitely cause such serious issues but if you buy from standard companies like samsung or lg you can't get such issues.

Some of the phones are built with millitary grade standard and I always recommend to buy them.

These phones are built with high quality components such as pcb battery etc.,. These phones will lost for atleast 10 years without any errors or failures when used with care. Care means using always filp cover, high quality screen guard etc.,.

These phones can survive at extreme weather conditions and when accidentally dropped into water and fell down etc.,. Normal phones gets heated when you run more apps but these phones have separate cooling system etc.,.

The phones are apple iphone, samsung galaxy edge s series, htc u series, lg g series etc.,. Among these lg g series are available at lowest price.

If you can't spend amount about 25000 or higher then there are some phones such as lg w series which you can get below 15000 but these have little lower spec than costly ones. Recently nokia has also released millitary grade standard phone.

I have bought lg g7 plus thinq 2 years ago at 27000 and used heavily by running a number of apps at time and still there are no errors or failures etc.,. It felt down upto 10 times unexpectedly and even there is no screen damage.

If you can't believe me try to read the specs and reviews of lg g7 plus thinq, htc u 11 samsung galaxy S7 edge or S8 edge etc.,.

While buying a smartphone don't see whether it has latest processor or ram etc., instead see how it is built. If you can spend additionally just 5000 to 6000 than redmi or realme you can get high quality millitary grade standard phone.

I have body of micromax canvas HD bought in end 2012. It will turn ten, but the android is so old, even whatsap does not work. Sturdy build is of no use when software does not run.

Get an old Nokia 3310 then
Each and every time I discuss about best smartphone someone of you says that it has old processor etc., and you are not considering how long it losts.

According to my panic experience spending money on companies like lava Celkon redmi is irrelevant. Instead if you spend extra 5000 rupees you can get nice one. If you can't try to buy low end millitary grade certified smartphone.

I have seen a number of people who bought redmi and suffering now.

No, they won't last more than 5-6 years. Even if they did, you won't want to continue using it as your primary phone. Case and point, I transitioned from OP3 to Poco X3 pro after about 5 years and my OP3 is backup phone now.
These phones can survive at extreme weather conditions and when accidentally dropped into water and fell down etc.,.
Tell that to buyers who have lost claim to repairs under warranty for these phones.

Both are dead.

The details and reviews given in the above link are for all millitary grade certified smartphones.

I think that none of you used such phone and I am using at present and I have not used such phone before but used redmi.

I used redmi note 4 mido for two years and at first it worked fine and after some days I have flashed custom rom and from there all the problems started one by one. After some days it has felt into water unexpectedly and the phone stopped working. As the phone is not working l flashed another custom rom and after that the situation became even worst. After some days it has felt down on floor mistakenly and the screen has broken even screen guard is installed. So I have installed non mi screen through technician and after some days the phone stopped working and unable to boot. So I have flashed miui stock rom and after that the situation became even worst. After that I have flashed a number of times custom rom and stock rom. Finally the device became unusable.

After that I have bought lg g7 plus thinq and I am using from the past 40 months and upto now there is no any error or any boot failure etc.,. It has even felt in water unexpectedly and felt down on floor mistakenly. Still there is no screen Scratch etc.,.

The company like redmi and others even lg or samsung manufacturers their devices using inferior quality ics but lg, samsung, and htc, nokia has released few models with millitary grade certified and in competition with apple iphone.

Whatever phone you buy finally I am requesting you to not root and install custom rom magisk etc.,. Always install high quality screen guard, use two side leather flip cover etc.,. Many phones fails due to these reasons only.

Many people don't know these and even if they know neglect as they are not hardware geeks.

I can't comprehend what you did that actually messed the phone up. There's one thing for sure though, installing a custom rom won't cause phone to fall down and break it's screen. Also, glass is glass and glass breaks.

Don't believe every tech jargon they use in marketing. Your phone is NOT military grade "certified" but only "compliant".

Why? Just because you messed your phone up, doesn't mean everyone else will.
use two side leather flip cover
Flip covers are waste of money. Get a proper silicone/rugged case if it comes to buying one.

The only reason to mess up phone after rooting & flashing is by doing dirty flash with incorrect matching kernel + ROM.
