Phone recommendation for 22K

would like a bigger screen to watch netflix

Good Camera is a high priority

6. Preferred operating system? (Android, iOS,Stock Android etc).
prefer android without Ads and shit, so like stock but open to other flavors too

7. Preferred connectivity options (Dual 4G,802.11AC/5Ghz(not 5g mobile network) wifi).

8. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, internet, gaming etc)?
WhatsApp, YouTube, netflix

9. Any specific mobile phones in consideration?
128 gb preferred, but flexible

10. Any other info that you want to share
would prefer regular availability and not flash sale

I'd pick Moto G82 in this budget,

Xiaomi 11i 5g available for ₹22k at amazon. If you want a phone without any ads go for moto g82

Is your old phone working properly? If yes, look into iQoo Neo 6 5G. It has a good deal on exchange (3k bonus over phone's normal exchange value) + 3k off on CC. It is showing like 5.9k off with Samsung M30, also with CC discount of 3k, effective price comes down to 21k.

Realme 9 pro+ has a good camera for 25k, try to get it when some card offer is going on. Will have to spend some time to clean the OS, same with iQoo. S870 is on a different performance class & its ISP is better as well.

Moto G82 is a solid choice for sure. S695 here is weaker than Dimensity 920, but stock OS in moto is an advantage.

Blindly ignore any oppo or vivo phones. I doubt any other phone at 20-25k has OIS other than those 2.

You could have tried it yourself. If the screen is fine without scratches & body has no major cracks, amazon is showing ₹4950 for it (if you try to exchange it with other phones, value is 1950). That + 3k CC offer will bring iQoo Neo 6 to 22k. Honestly a great deal. Just spend some time tweaking it for nagwares by disabling/uninstalling unnecessary apps & blocking notifications entirely for system apps that can't be disabled.

this is a surprise gift to a non technical person. exchange is not an option. so it becomes out of budget

Great, please post initial impressions/review if you can.

I have been eyeing G82 too. Unfortunately Flipkart does not seem to offer exchange for my present G60.

@ssk_the_gr8 if possible please post your opinion here. If it seems worth, I will just buy it outright.
