Nokia 603 (this is symbain belle) fits your requirement minus the Android part. If you want Android phone dont look anything below Galaxy Note N-7000 or Galaxy S-2. Common problem with Android phones is they have very low internal memory for installing Apps like for e.g. 150MB , 300MB even when they mention internal memory has 8GB/16GB.

Yes, I am known to internal memory problems but I believe 300mb will be enough according to my requirements for this phone. as only few apps will be installed in it. just most essentials apps and very basic games as I mention.. AM I wrong? plus s2 & those phone are too big.. good for us but not for my mother.. simple. light in small is what needed.. I am strongly considering xperia Ray as Sam suggested.

I am just concerned about it's GPU can it handle basic games at that resolution.. and littl ebit about it's screen size. but anyway no better option is available then that at 15K

checked Ray ..I am buying it unless I found or says something against it.

guys please some one reply.......I guess HTC one v is same price as Xperia ray that is 17K.. so which is better with my requirements

Under 15k, there are not many mobiles with balanced specs. Most have switched to bigger screen but crappy resolution and even poor SOC (GPU taking the hit). Mobiles that are both powerful and balanced: Huawei Ideos X5 Pro, Motorola DEFY Plus, Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman, Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray. Ray's GPU should be able to handle all basic games but maybe games like Max Payne or Batman or Dead Space may have problem if there is too much activity.

Xperia U should be good considering it has a decent SOC and good screen.

It is available for 13.5k currently at Homeshop18 : HomeShop18.com Superdeals - Deals that last only minutes

Xperia U is a good phone, and I think your mom will not need much memory. So that is the best option and you can easily get it for 15k

^^ xperia u is good but I am not ok with so less memory.. A few movies and songs and it will be down, 4GB will not be enough.. @ showroom it was available for 16K but I did notice HS18 yesterday's offer at 13.5K but skipped it.. one more important thing she did not liked about U is it is not as slim as Ray.

Best thing about ray is It's size..it is small and thin.. so it is available for 17K at showroom. so for now she has decided to wait for Diwali.. Even I believe Price will be reduced. so purchase has been delayed..

any Idea when we can see the price reduction.. I guess it won't be before First November.

Sony Ericsson handsets are being phased out by the end of this month. So it might be difficult to get hold of a Ray in November.

Miro/Tipo not recommended as they are "entry level" devices in every sense of the word except looks especially in case of Miro.

I have already used Tipo and it is unusable.. and miro has same specs so no again.. these two phones lagged so much that they are unusable.
