only for movies and HD, I would suggest to go for Athlon II X4 620 and another 2 GB of RAM. is that DDR2 that you are using currently?

Athlon II X4 630: 5.5k

just wait for some more time to see more 785G boards inside 5k and then you can go for the complete rig with DDR3. Till then you should be able to use x4 630 on existing board by doing BIOS update.

thanks desibond.. but i m very much intrested in using a graphics card instead of proc upgrade.. will adding a graphics card will help me watch HD content in 21-24 inch LCD and use Vista?

Which brand and model can i go for.. which is best suited for ASUS M2A- VM

9500GT should be enough for HD playback and casual gaming.

Look out for Palit 9600GT or Sapphire HD4830!
They'll cost ~6-7K!
