if you are using winXp then use "window Defender" from microsoft. it is freeware for register xp user.

it works for 30 days in trail version
if u want real time scanning download microsoft defender it is also good

Lavasoft's ad-aware is the best that u can get cox its also free, u can also try out Spybot search and destroy, but the former is even better, moreover it takes really less time to update, a boon if u r on the dial-up.
