portable softwares works gr8 with USB, is it possible to wrok them in CD too ?
e.g. i don't want to install open office, firefox , thunderbird on to hard disk

1) how to install them into cd ? of course with the use of cd writer & nero software.
2) will they work properly if more than one software installed ? i.e. open office + FF + TB

No, very few will work, as they need to write back to the directory for various reasons.

cheapest are around 600 for 1Gb but go transcend or kingston brands, price ranges on features like speed/ storage GB size & additional security features.

1000-1200 for 1gb, search in hardware & Q&A forums for exact discussion on this.
