How can i prevent searching of a particular file in my system. If possible a filetype.

I want that when someone searches "*.docx" in my system search result shows nothing. Is there any way to do so. If not anyway to just prevent file individually from coming in windows search result.

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium.

Not sure if such a software is available. Why not keep those files in an encrypted folder ?

Basically these are my daily assignments so its a hassle to encrypt them and decrypt them and it has happened twice that someone got an opportunity to copy paste the assignment frm the system .

oh !

That's easy!

Step 1 : Goto Start --> and type services.msc [ then click on it to open it or press Enter ]

Step 2 : Scroll to Windows Search and start this service [ also set it to manual ]

Step 3 : Now you should get the Files Type Tab.
