you will receive the dispatch details or if u have subscription code, u can track from the courier service, they use smscouriers.in in Delhi and I usually track through that website. ps: the sms courier sucks though, they reported the RC name - wife for last months issue, though I personally receive it and I am single lol

As per to my knwlege, Digit has given 3dual DVD with single DVD in its previous issues. But there were no other flip copy of magazine. Can you tell me which was that special issue. I've purchasing from march 2009 and dual layer DVDS were distributed by magazines from december 2008. There was no five Dual layer DVD EDITION. Or rather 5issues of digit

Digit didn't disappointed me either today I got my hands on the magazine. thought that skoar would be just small as Fastracks. Digit made me completely wrong. the whole package was the biggest I've saw. Did anyone got a packet of chings Masala in it I've purchased from News Stand. The old days got back when we had thick magazine in it. all in all I loved every packaging of it. will soon update the reviews for the magazine articles. tomorrow :shock:

I still haven't received anything, no notifications/dispatch details. TD page said that it will take 2-3 days on an average..It's been 6 damn days without Digit. To be honest, I'm kind of annoyed. I'm aware that it takes time to deliver and the TD team is working very hard for it, but 6 days without digit?!

It is already available on the newstands (Are the dearest Digit readers your last priority? ) but I can't buy it because I've already "pre-booked". Sorry for being rude but that's what happens when you guys keep digit away from me

I don't how how everything works at ThinkDigit, it is probably not easy as it sounds and my post may just offense your hardwork but I don't intend any instead I appreciate the hard work you guys put to make Digit magazine so awesome!

Guys here's it... I may not be able to express my whole feelings towards this magazine but I loved each Inch of this magazine eliminating the advertises which I say were placed righteous places which they should belong to... Or else there were not many of the advertises in between the continuing articles. I still dont want to plug any dvd in my computer because I am completely fine with what Digit have been given in their anniversary. Price worth of rs.250 It goes to every single penny to caress our hardwork. Right in the corners in the field of Biology, Air traffic controls, technology I think spending such huge amount on it have not made me poorer but richer in my knowledge. I still think that this issue of digit is a mustbuy for anyone.. That person would be thankful to you guys Digit. Lastly I salute to that person who Depicted the whole story in just two pages of how digit worked. I think its a high time for me that its not at all an easy task to make anyone remove his vallet and giving 250 bucks to you guys. I liked that you guys concentrated on writing otherwise you would have given training voucher which i'd have never used. Lastly I think that I'm not at all the best reviewer, So go guys get your copy today form anywhere... ^^And Kunal.d I didn't understood that letter of the month. What is Brink?? After all that guy wanted to be a game reviewer for digit

On topic- I went through the Dvd content (downloaded it) and I am not sure why demo of Max Payne 2 found itself in Retro Part.

I know its a great retro game but the demo? C'mon full version wud have been better.

When I ordered Ubuntu from ShipIt it took less than 3 days, even when It came from an International service. Same was the case for most of the thing I've ever ordered online (even some free services). But I didn't expect Digit to go this down. 4 days was the most I expected.

I think being a subscriber to any of the magazines is the worst case of any reader. I may not be able to stop myself from writing this... Sorry but I think Once we subscribe to any magazines they forget us. Believe me now don't bombard me... I don't know how this works but I'm a subscriber of Chip magazine and I'm not at all bothered about when my magazine for this month will be dispatched, they notify us that the magazine for the upcoming moth is released on 24th of the previous moth on their website but I always get my hands on it on 7th to 10th of next month. Infact I rely on newsstand that they deliver the magazine fast. One another reason why I'm quite to this because firstly its holidays and secondly Digit have fulfilled my hunger for this month for long enough...

And @ Thetechfreak have patience "Sabra ka fal meetha hota hai" and congrats to you too desibond

Let me on topic for a change-
Team Digit, many people seem to be having a problem with on line clues.
They say they have to enter some name in the first clue but no matter how they enter it, doesnt help.
I have told them the clue they have entered may be wrong but they are sure its correct.
Please look into it

same here. Lesson learnt. Always buy it from stands. Friend got it few days ago and me still waiting for it.

grabed my copy yesterday night at 9.40 PM but started reading it on 11.30PM and surprised to see a pack of ching masala and good to see some of forum members ( including me ) got featured in the mag - will try to provide more feedback as I keep on reading this issue ;-)

Precisely one of the reasons why I stopped my subscription a few years back.

Here is a small feedback . I will be writing a bigger one to the editor soon :

1.very average content .
2. Ok , The future was a nice initiative but it did not impress me .
3. Too many ads.
4. DVD content is good . I liked the idea of having the PDF from 2001.
5. Entertainment disc is not worth having.

Overall , Not worth 250 bucks by a long way.

Received the copy of the 10 anniversary issue today.
No words to explain you guys.... Wat an amazing work.!!
You hard night work pays off. Mission accomplished.

I think the content is average.

Got my mag today and it too came in beautiful condition, though not as beautiful as sriharsha's copy.

Don't know about delivery issues to Bangalore, but I suffered a lot when I opted for 2years subscription a few years back. Horrible experience, Magazine used to reach on last week of every month, that too after repeated calls to Digit/courier office, with the amount spent on these calls, I would have subscribed for some other magazine for a year

And I don't understand what's the point in opening a feedback thread & no one from team digit seems to be active in this thread to address issues!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just chill, and drop an email to help@thinkdigit.com. It will help you instantly rather than posting it here and than flaming it further.

That was long back man ~2007 or 2008 when it was still with Jasubhai Media. Don't know about the exact situation now, but I took a trail subscription for 3 months in 2010 & it was delivered ~ 8-10th of every month, but had some damage or the other.

For peace of mind, I prefer getting it from the stands. That said I have stopped reading Digit these days, content quality is not the same as it used to be in its hay day. I get only the special issues now.

Too many bad experiences with subscription(Late deliveries, Damaged Mag, Scratched DVD's, Broken etc) & hence the crib

No replies to the email as well, even linked my forum post in that mail.

UPDATE :
Forum goes down for a while & I get a call from Digit, asking if I need a replacement copy

Others offer replacement as well, others even gave a complementary extra issue when a similar incident happened

Contacted help@thinkdigit.com. They explained me the entire situation and the reason for the delay. And that I will receive my copy in a damn long WEEK!

Got it yesterday, not read completely yet (usually I complete a issue in 1-2 sittings but this one is too much). A request for team digit - please make packaging portable. I had hard time fitting it on my bag, had to fold it at last.
Great work on issue though, awesome articles and DVD content. Totally worth Rs 250!

Yes, I've got the email regarding Digit apology. I haven't received my subscriber copy and the bad thing is that it will take 7 to 10 more days to get the issue in my hand.

Guys, this edition has all the old editions in pdf right? If so, I'll buy it, else don't feel like paying 250/- for a mag.

This is Digit's 10th Anniversary issue and like in the past, this issue also has the pdf files of the Digit Magazines as well as Fast Tracks bundled with it.

Got the mag yesterday night.

Fast Tracks : Very good finishing and contents.

Magazine : Though I appreciate the articles you all tried to put it, but it became as if I'm reading big-big articles of a Science magazine and I did not liked the 'Future' column.

SKOAR! : Reviews were cool. I wish if the Team could add some interactive contents like on the Digit mag.

DVD's : Not checked yet but it contains stuffs which I want.

Overall, it's 100% worth Rs.250. The 'How Everything Works' section was cool and wish to see more like those in future issues...

Today, I got my subscriber copy through Post. :smile:

Mine gives 10/-, also its a bit far from my house, still thinking whether it will be worth the purchase. My college keeps digit and a lot of other mags, that's why I stopped buying it regularly, now I only buy the interesting editions worth preserving.

Expecting Digit this coming Monday. If it doesn't arrive by then, I'm totally gonna screw Digit and ask for a refund or at least a part of the money. I understand their problem, the hardwork they put into all of this is respectable but not at all acceptable.

I subscribed to this month and last month's issue in advance in the month of April 11. I got last months issue on time(in second week of may) but this special issue(June11) is still not delivered to me. On 1st June they sent me a mail saying they are sending issue through courier and they will send the courier company and shipment details shortly. Its almost 2 weeks of June now and I have neither received the magazine nor the shipment details mail. I really wonder why it takes so much time for them besides having experience of delivery for so many years now.

I am seeing the issue on newsstands but can't buy as I have already paid for it. Good that I have not subscribed to DIGIT and will continue not to subscribe it seeing the horrible delivery service.

Finally I received my issue today evening at 5.00 pm. Still haven't read through it completely. I followed up with digit customer care team and they were pretty fast in resolving the delivery issue. In case any of u is waiting for the issue then just contact digit customer care once.

I received my courier but the delivery guy gave it to the counter guy and he locked it in his locker, idiot. Called him and he'll give me tomorrow.

I was eagerly expecting that all the past Fasttrack pdfs would be included in the June2011 anniversary edition but was very much disappointed to find only the Digit pdfs.Has it been stopped?
Hope the digit people include it in the next special edition in December 2011!

What I really loved was "How Digit Works". You've presented it in an awesome manner! Thumbs up!

i purchased this issuse in namakkal (Tamilnadu), until today i not try to copy/install any software. i just seen the software list via flash content. today i try to install BSR screen recorder software, but the disc accessing long time and then i tried to copy the file from DVD but it refresh multimeda folder more than 45 minutes. and also i tried to take .iso image using cd burner xp but i got error.

how can i replace my DVD. please guide me its urgent.

tried with ISOBuster but fails.

I received July issue today. As I was away I did not check the DVDs of June,2011 issue. Today I tried to open the DVDs of June and July, but they are not opening and the DVD player keeps on trying to access them. I tried this on two PCs, with same result. It seems either the replication process is poor or the quality of the DVDs used are not good? Please tell me what is the solution?

I'm in desperate need of help here. Ordered & got shipped the June 2011 issue of digit with the 3 DVD's. But none of the DVD's worked. Sent a mail to them as suggested by one of the members in this forum, and they were very kind enough to send me replacement DVD's. Now none of these DVD's are also working ...

why is this ???? what do i do now ? Dont they do some quality check before shipping out the replacement DVD's atleast ? (if not the original discs that come with the magazine..)

Most of the links within the 'autorun flash page' of the disc do not work.. for eg., the "view" button for viewing the movie / game trailers do not work.. any ideas ?

manually go to the folders and play by right clicking on it..... that is much better.

Make sure that your DVD drive supports DVD +/- DL dual layer discs!! atleast that worked for me..

yes, even the July issue DVD also gave the same problem, after a long time gap it got opened. How to check whether my DVD drive support DVD +/- DL dual layer discs?

check it with nero drive info tool or it should be written on your drive's box itself..

or just google your model number for dual layer disc support..

if it is still not working!

Try the following:

1. Wash the Digit DVD with cold water . Dry it with a soft towel (You can put it is shade out side in your home garden to dry, but avoid direct sunlight.)

2. Now check if this works. If not goto step 3

3. Open up your DVD drive and with a soft cloth clean the lens using camera lens cleaning liquid (you can get it in any camera shop)

4. Now try the digit dvd.

Hope it helps!

P.S : If this does not work, open a separate thread in this forum for further support/help from us.
