I guess the cd or the iso maybe corrupt. Check the md5sum or sha1sum.

Try burning that iso file at lower speed 1x-4x on dvd and please verify it.
alternatively i have a method
1. Install utorrent or any of the bit torrent client
2. download the torrent file from *www.torrentportal.com/details/824012/openSUSE-10.2-GM-DVD-i386-iso.torrent
3. rename your iso file to openSUSE-10.2-GM-DVD-i386.iso
4. Navigate utorrent to that file and start download, i mean set the download location of utorrent to the folder where you 've saved the iso file and start the download
5. your iso will be rectified
