"An error ocurred during installation of the boot screen. An error ocurred while updating the file C:\WINDOWS\system32\TUKernel.exe(version:5.1.2600.3093(xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2227-2254)). Please make sure that you are logged on as an administrator and that you have the necessary permissions to modify this file."

I am not getting you exactly.
First make sure.........
1) you are logged as admin
2) First make the bootscreen as default.
3) Now reboot the system..and try to change the boot screen using tuneUp..
