problem with steam installer

There is a problem with my steam installer.as i had installed the steam installer to install the games given in the dvd with the magazine,i am not able to open my account in steam because the steam app is not responding on my pc.please give me a solution for this problem.

1-)Re install steam once
2-)check task manager if steam is running end process it and restart
3-)clear your registry using c cleaner

Steam usually take a LONG time to login. We all face the problem. Enter your details and leave it undisturbed. Yesterday my Steam took around 10 mins to login.
So keep patience :wink:
