please tell me is D102 support this processor.
motherbords socket and processor socket is same(LGA 775).
my friend have core two duo 2.8 on D102 which runs perfectly.
*www.thinkdigit.com/forum/images/kirsch/statusicon/user_online.gif my vender said the processor is not supported by motherboard.

You should have enquired before purchasing the board.Your dealer is right....D102 doesn't support C2D's or Dual cores,at least that's what the processor compatibility list for the board suggests.Your friend probably has a pentiumD and not a C2D.
Look here : *support.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d102ggc2/sb/CS-026580.htm

For a 945 based board get the Asus P5GC-MX.Get the latest revision which supports 1066FSB(OC'able to 1333).The older ones I suppose were limited to 800fsb.
