Purple Horizontal Line on laptop screen?

As described in title,Today when i booted up my lappy i found a Purple horizontal line on the top of my laptop screen
I restarted the laptop,ran color calibration but it did not go away.
I've googled alot but found no solution to this problem.
Note:- My laptop overheats and shutsdown while i play games temps hit 88C at shutdown.

Two things - faulty connection between the monitor and MB/ faulty chip or the display is dying.

Do a driver reinstall and just tap the laptop gently trying to see if it momentarily gets fixed, but I feel you are in for a a spending here

I think your laptop screen is at fault.Same with my LED monitor and when taken for repair, said screen has gone. needed to change the display.
