Query about Sandy Bridge laptops availibility

hi all,

can anyone tell when Sandy Bridge processor laptop availed in India by Dell, Hp n Sony?
I want to buy a lappy in next 2 weeks, is it realy worth to wait for Sandy Bridge processor laptop?

dell xps sb are coming 25th march and i guess inspiron sb is already here[not sure]

Lenovo has launched select models of SB laptops. Others are coming soon.

nop, only laptops with previous versions of i series processors are available on Dell India website.

^i was not sure about d inspiron but i m about xps coming on 25th though

Inspiron will take some time. Probably April/May.

I am going to use my laptop mostly for word processing, emails, net surfing,listening music, chatting , watching movies.
Which processor (i3 / i5 or i3/i5 with sandybridge )will be best for me ?
Is it really worth for waiting for sandy bridge processors for a month for me?

Actually, NO. There is no need to wait for sandybridge then. Even core i3 should be enough for you.

Currently, sandybridge based lappy's are exactly priced as their predecessors. Recently checked a lennovo model in the local newspaper which had i3 2xxx cpu and 1gb nvidia gpu( they didn't mention the gpu model) @ 38k.
