Hi guys,

My professor has given us one question and we have to answer that, I've tried my level best but couldn't solve the question. Now i need your help guys.

The question is :-

A network administrator is investigating a problem with slow access to remote hosts on a particular Ethernet LAN. Using a packet sniffer the following binary frame dump was obtained.
Identify any errors in the message (there may not be any) by completing the table listing below with all field hexadecimal values, and their meanings (i.e. explain what the field and its value means). Ensure that you determine the fields of the packet encapsulated within the frame as well as the frame itself.

Note that the Preamble, SFD and CRC fields are not included in the frame dump.

00000000 11111110 10101010 10111011 11001100 11011101 00000000 00011000

well ul have to refer to ethernet protocol....then in hex locate the flags in above string of binaries...then using flags as referance translate other hex no using the protocol frame structure....

AFAIR, these fields form the packet structure! U resolve these binary sequences into hexadecimal first and u get the MAC addresses of source, MAC addr of destination etc! Check it out!
