I've a dual boot xp Pro and vista ultimate

C2D E6230 /intel 946 gzis /1GB DDR2 667MHz/200GB SATA HDD

BIOS says single channel memmory - Are single and dual channel RAM are different? available? price ?
or they are like setting on Mobo?

I want another latest PC

What Intel Motherboard and memory will be BEST for Q6700 [or extreme editions]for 1333MHzFSB , best for 64 bit computing , dual Channel mode.
Money doesn't matter much.

Is 2GB or more size memory modules are available in mumbai, 800 MHz/more?
because only 4 GB [1GB X 4 Modules] can be added to motherboard like intel 975x
Please help, as 4 GB will be barrier for 4 CPU cores in performance in 64 bit computing.

Please answer whatever question you know, Pl before next 10 days.

Thanks in Advance,

Generally motherboards have two ram channels with a pair of slots in each.If u install equivalent amount of ram in each channel then u get a dual channel config. Its better than a single channel config because the theoretical data transfer rate doubles and equals the FSB speed bandwidth. For ur query regarding the pc submit in the section for BASIC GUIDE TO PURCHASE A NEW SYSTEM

More RAM More Speed.
Don't go for 4gb single module. Go for dual 2gb modules (Same).
