From Rapidshare Site:

New website

June 3, 2008
We have launched our newly designed website. We hope you will enjoy the improved usability and better layout! We have also developed a new logo.

To enable you to check out the site in-depth, we have doubled the download volume for premium users: Instead of 25 gigabytes you can now download 50 gigabytes within 5 days.

A big project like this aways involves errors slipping in. That's why we need your help! Did we miss something? Did you experience a bug regarding user guidance or programming? Tell us about it! The sender of the first mail we receive reporting a particular bug will be rewarded with 1.000 RapidPoints, accredited to his or her account. If you do not have an account yet, we will create one for you using the RapidPoints you won. You can also donate your points to somebody's account.

Mail your report to bugreport@rapidshare.com. Please send only one bug with each report.

What is more, after all this hard work we are curious to know what you think about the new design, and we are looking forward to your feedback. Please send a message to support@rapidshare.com and give us your personal opinion.

Naturally, we will not rest now and have already developed more new features to be launched over the next months. Visit our news section regularly and get the latest gossip first - from the original source!

They seriously needed to have asked someone good at interfaces before releasing this crap thing. Minimalism is fine, but a bad layout is something that is not acceptable.

I dont find anything wrong with the layout..it's simple and cool.

nice look now ( like google Short and Simple )

+1

i like it too

H

Yes it's simple and cool also, it has noticably increased bandwidth and speeds...
But the new "LOGO" is quite too simple.. after all, the Greatest Hoster is that stupid?
There should be some reason behind it...

though I hardly use RS(may be once in 3-4 months), the new UI is pretty decent...better than before.

Yea, nice.Keeping it simpler (and more legit?)

It looks neat and simple now...

But still the stupid catchas remain. Today I got lucky though, got a four-lettered catcha

^ yeap, those 'catchas' are sick

S

I got a Premium Account,Good news for me!

^ only for you,
but i got premium link generators although i dont use RS

H

i like media fire a lot more than RS..

is it 'catcha' or 'captcha'?

^^ In this case it is Catcha cause of all the excessive use of confusing cats.

Rapidshare guys might have seen Goobi's blog and thought they will also promote cats

Its CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) but since you're supposed to identify cat pictures, I call it "CAT"CHA.

Get those wretched cats out of there!!
Although I have got the hang of them and am accurate most of the times (pay close attention to their head - more specifically ears).
But, intitally I just couldnt get them write. I infact saved the captcha images and send them over to batty via y!m. He did a couple of captchas for me.

Its really stupid. Captchas are meant to test if your are human, not super human.

Tail part is easy

Long tail = Cat. I always look for that.

Mediafire UI rocks

*mihd.net and *ifile.it/ are also good and simple with the UI and fast enough.
