Boot using Vista Setup DVD and select option to Repair the installation. It'll repair the boot loader.

AFAIK there is no option fix mbr or fix boot in Vista like in Xp.You have to chose Boot Repair option. Those commands are replaced by GUI:)
Why haven't you installed Vista?

Boot up from Vista Installation DVD and select Repair your Computer.(its below Install Icon). Select Windows Vista and select Command Prompt.
Execute this
Code:
bootrec.exe /fixmbr
bootrec.exe /fixboot
Close command prompt window and restart.
