i have dual boot redhat 9 and windows xp on my system with 4 partitions on hard disk,

2. linux swap
3. fat32
4. ntfs

when i boot in linux , I have cud mount fat32 but i fail to mount ntfs

i give this command to mount

mount /dev/hdb4 /mnt/otherpartitions

system gives error message

you should install kernel module supporting ntfs partition for that. Download and install kernel-module-ntfs-<kernelversion>. It is very important that you should download the exact package matching your kernel.

writing to ntfs is experimental, though.

Alternatively, you can compile ur own kernel with NTFS support....
