GUys,

I use WIN XP PRO+Sp2

I recently tried to add a entry into the registry (by double clicking on the .reg file) But it said
Registry Editing has been disabled by your administrator

I use the PC at my home adn I have never faced this error message as I myself am the Administrator ("ANAND" is the name the PC shows as the user on START tab)

I was able to change/add registry values jus 2-3 days back, and now suddenly this, plz help.. i knw I hv to change sum parameters, so tell me wat they are.. :(

Cheers n e-peace....

Type gpedit.msc in RUN dialog box and goto User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System in right-side pane, set “Prevent access to Registry editing tools” to either Not Configured or Disabled

or

Just type following in RUN dialog box and press ENTER
REG add KCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

sumbody had the same problem

Error 'MSINET.OCX'

and BTW is ur registry access problem solved?

if not then you may frst wan2 run a good AV scan and then try to re-enable it if it does not get re-enabled by itself
