How do i reinstall internet explorer alone in Windows XP (SP2) edition, without disturbing other softwares like MS office, Adobe etc., which have been already been installed. Is there any possibility.

hey dude

To reinstall internet explorer alone , you have to edit the registry . messing with the registry settings might corrupt your operating system . so be carefull . i have given the solution step by step .

1. Make sure that you have logged into administrator mode or an user account with admin privileges .
2
click start and click run . in the open box type

regedit and press enter . it will bring the regeistry window .

3. find the appropriate registry subkey given below ,and right-click the Installed (REG_DWORD) value, and then click Modify.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{89820200-ECBD-11cf-8B85-00AA005B4383}

4. change the value from 1 to 0 . and click ok .

5.close the Registry Editor, and then install Internet Explorer 6.
