reset BIOS password ?????

hi,
is there any means by which i can reset the BIOS password by running some application?. always opening the cabinet and then removing the battery is not the best option,i think so (but its the most common too). i like to do the same via application.

any idea, gurus

to the extend of my know how it can be done through jumper or battery
