Whenever I click on the scan option in Micro Trend AV it starts downloading the updates then a screen pops up "restart IE".... It doesnt happen for any other.

Restart I.E when Micro Trend is run
just try disabling auto update function of your anti-virus, and put it on manual, and see what happens ....
