how do i restore old whatsapp msgs. i am using bluestack. i tried uninstalling and installing whatsapp again it does prompt me to if i want to restore backup i clicked Restore than it says unable to restore. and takes me to next screen.
i tried this like 25+ times sames thing. than i came to know " Your backup is too old. WhatsApp cannot restore backups that are more than 7 days old. " my backup file was created on 29-07-2014 =/
so please help to restore this. :-?

I have always restores backup of Whatsapp database whenever I format the Android. But then I restore very recent backup.
Usually it's like WhatsApp creates a backup everyday at 4 am by default. And when I need to format Android, I just take a backup anyway. Then after installing a new ROM, I restore the messages.

I think that's why I never faced the problem of "database being too old". I guess nothing can be done now.

You can try to change the system time / Android time to fool whatsapp to think the backup is not more than 7 days. But don't get your hopes high.

i did changed date and time but nope no luck whatsapp prompt you to change date before going to next step.

/sdcard/whatsapp/database/
