Which Power Supply do you have?
VIP 500W
What is your budget?
6K
Which resolution will you game at?
Still on CRT monitor! - so 720p
What are your current computer specifications?
Intel Core2duo E7300, 3gb DDR2 ram, intelDG43NB m/b.
Have narrowed it down to:
Error 500 Server Error
&
Error 500 Server Error
Kindly advice which would be better.
And pleaseconfirm if 1GB ddr5 would be better than 2GB ddr3.

Yes, 1GB GDDR5 is better than 2GB DDR3.

VIP 500W- not a good power supply, don't know whether it will handle the load.

I think VIP 500W gold will handle a gpu without any extrenal power connector just fine. Also Op has a dual core not much power hungry cpu.

Get the r7 250. But if you can afford a bit more then get R7 250x which is a proper gaming card. The R7 250x can handle some games at full hd at medium settings so 720p would be a cakewalk IMHO. Never get anything lesser than a gtx for gaming when it comes to Nvidia. Btw the R7 250x is better than gtx 650
