Should i insert 16gb memory card in 16gb supportable mobile???? like nokia e63

if yes, so is any issue in speed performance like mobile getting hang or restarted..because i am using Nokia E 63 and it has 16gb Expandable memory..so can i insert 8gb or 16gb memory card??? m totally confused...pls give me your best suggestion in brief...
