[STRIKE]Say bye bye to dualcore.[/STRIKE] Mediatek too is planning similar move. Looks like Qualcomm is dead serious about getting back its market share that it lost to Mediatek over the years.

Spec:
  • Quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 processor up to 1.1 GHz
  • Adreno 304 GPU with support of 720p displays
  • 8MP camera support
  • 1080p video recording and playback
  • LTE Cat.4 connectivity
  • LTE dual-SIM support
  • Quick Charge 2.0 support (up to 75% faster charging)

Basically S210 = S400 + LTE modem integrated. Adreno 304 will be nothing more than Adreno 305 (450Mhz) running at clockspeed between 400-450Mhz. A dualcore Cortex A53 at 1.5Ghz will provide better performance than ageing Cortex A7 but then it allows Qualcomm to reuse their existing SOC with minor tweaks. Moreover quadcore looks good on paper and can be used to lure more customers in.

Update: Qualcomm also announced Snapdragon 208. Changes from 210.
  • dual-core ARM Cortex A7 CPU
  • 5MP camera, 720p video recording and playback
  • Display up to qHD
  • 3G HSPA+ (up to 42 Mbps)

rest everything stays the same. looks like dualcore is here to stay. should be idle for sub 5k devices.

they are repeating the same thing they did with Cortex A5 .. prolonging the life cycle of cortex A7 unnecessarily

Adreno 302 is 400 Mhz , Adreno 305 is 450 Mhz , Adreno 306 is 450 mhz

Adreno 304 will likely be 425mhz

Mediatek will be having mt6732 in this range..

don't go by qualcomm prices.. they have rated Snapdragon 410 phones to be priced at 150 $ which i don't think will happen not even moto g will be able to pull that price
