I have been downloading songs from torrents for months now and I have stacked up the same song files may be more than 5 times in some cases . Is there any software that can remove the multiple files . Also want to remove the numbers from all the file names at one go.
Cheers guys

For the first thing, get duplicate cleaner and for the second, get bulk rename utility.

Thanks anyway. Duplicate file finder not so perfect. I can still see duplicates while it can't detect.
Similarity Software works better.

If it's just music files, MediaMonkey can do the job for you. It can also find duplicates by tags, organize your music and create playlists.

try doublekiller.

I use tuneup utilities....It has an option to find and remove duplicate files

Duplicate Cleaner =/= Duplicate File Finder.

These are two different softwares

Edit: CCleaner also has an inbuilt duplicate file finder tool.

Thanks guys. My task has been accomplished. Next time I end up downloading Songs again i'll use these softwares.
