Hello Everyone,

I am here going to post my experiece about the Rashi RMA service in Raipur.
On May,12th 2011 I had Purchased a New MotherBoard Sabertooth X58 for my Intel Corei7 920 System.

I noticed that one of the Ram Slot on my motherboard isnt working there were 6 slots and the B1 slot wasnt working and may be more but i had tested only 1.
So Immidietly I had sent it for Rma Service Raipur Chhattisgarh.

So After 15 to 18 Days when the Motherboard I recieved it was fully damaged .

The Heatsink No. 2 Damaged.
3 Pins on the Socket of processor were damaged.
Front panel pins connector damaged.
And Much more Damgaed on the box of the product.

Since then only I had return the item to the service and inform them about the damage and then they recieved the product.

After 2 - 3 days I call them and asked them for the replacement of the Board but they still on saying that the board cant be replaced and blaming on the courier service for the damaged on the board.
then they asked me to contact the asus customer care service then i done that and asked them to replace the product.
They asked me few questions about the product that

Did u checked the Board when it was come back from the warranty.
A.I said no Bcoz if i check it and some thing like short circuit or anything happen it wont come under warranty.

Q.You should blame to courier servce for the damaged on the product.
A.If the damaged on the product is by courier service how can the processor pins can be damaged as it was under the black cover of processor.

So they was Silent for sometime and then Again I asked them to Replace and then they said that wait we will see.

2 Days past no reply yet.
Will post when NEWS i got.

ToDAY is July 25 2011

I had called the Rashi Service.
Asked them what happened to replacement.
They asked me that I had posted a thread against them in Thinkdigit.
May be they can know by their asus service or just by browsing the forums I cant say. However I dont know How they know that I had posted a thread, not against them but to tell my freinds.

SO He tells me that the board had been replaced and it will arrive in 4 to 5 days.
So my problem is solved.

Thanks to RASHI Asus and Think digit for providing us a great service.

TODAY IS 4/08/2011 THURSDAY

I GOT MY NEW BOX PACKED MOTHERBOARD.
Here are the Pics

Thankx

Re: Rashi RMA Service Raipur

The updated parts are all 6-7 months old. CPU, mobo, RAM & speakers are 2 and half years old. So... ;)

And so far no plans to sale, when I will upgrade my platform, I might build a HTPC with my mobo, RAM, proccy. Let's see. :)

Re: Rashi RMA Service Raipur

Recently, our forum member cilus is also having problems with rashi bhubaneshwar. He had given his xfx 6870 for rma on 1st week of may. Now its almost end of july and they are simply delaying by giving baseless reasons.

The guy is saying that the product has been despatched from mumbai but is taking time to reach here. He's been saying this since last month and i know its pure bull$hit. So i guess rashi peripherals service is cr@p all over india.

Asus is a top brand and its reputation is at stake only because of rashi.

Yes, this 2nd time with me, 1st one as you all know, with my XFX HD 5770 card. And kind of reason they provide is just like nothing I've ever imagined. They are saying that their Boss was in leave and their warehouse in Mumbai from which they get the replaced card, only listens to their Boss and since he was in leave, the Mumbai office was not taking them seriusly...:x:x.
What could I say...although BBSR Rashi's employee behaviour is better than Kolkata, their service....may be Megamind in Chennai is the only exception.

Re: Rashi RMA Service Raipur

I think I should mention it here also

After this incident ....

This XFX 8600GT got replaced 4 times so far and they are giving me new box packed 8600GT every time within 1 week and this inferior XFX 8600GT going kaput again and again.

I've asked them to give me another product ( even I've said that I'll pay the extra charges ) but they are keep on saying that they have 8600GT in stock and they won't provide me any other. Looks like this is the only place where all of the XFX 8600GT in whole country can be found ;-)

Looks like XFX is managed by wise people. They must had got a hunch that the 8600gt will need a lots of RMA. So before stopping production of nVIDIA cards, they must had produced these in infinite numbers. ;)

But there was not any XFX representative ;-)

the other day I asked for a credit note but one of Rashi guy told me as the card is very old the sell value of this is only Re-1 and that's why they can't exchange the card with any other upgraded model and regrading Rashi 's service it varies from place to place and from person to person and if XFX really want to keep it's market reputation they should really think about their distributors unless they have discrimination policy among their customers in here and on the foreign countries like USA, UK etc ;-)

Re: Rashi RMA Service Raipur

No need for anyone to put up notices. All one has to do is if there have any issues with Rashi, just put it on that sticky. Except a handful, not many have filled it up IINM.

Neoteric is the Distri for MSI notebooks and motherboards, maybe for GPUs but not too sure.

junaid786, great to hear that...It looks like ASUS is doing some serius job to improve their Service in all over India. It is really a positive step and might help us to regain our lost fate for Asus Service..Man there are several cases where people didn't buy Asus Product just becasue of Rashi's service.

Here is my update. This Monday I was asked to visit Rashi peripherals BBSR by Asus Area Sales Manager to collect my GTX 260 which I've purchased in the Asus Power User Meet.
I told him everything about my card and he helped me a lot sort the matter and even asked the Rashi Representative to give me a Credit Note. The Rashi represenative promised me that I'll get my card in this coming Friday, otherwise they will provide me Credit note. Lets see what wll happen on coming Friday.

But I must say I am happy to see that Asus people are helping even my card is from XFX. This is a good indicator I guess.

junaid786, was the Ram slot problem there in your motherboard just out of the box or it occured after some time you've purchased it? I think you've mentioned somewhere that some pin was broken in either of the mobo or in the CPU.

@junaid786, was the Ram slot problem there in your motherboard just out of the box or it occured after some time you've purchased it? I think you've mentioned somewgere that some pin was broken in either of the mobo or in the CPU.

BTW:
When I purchased the board I read the manual and in the manual it was clearly mentions that if u r using two RAM modules then u have to put it into A1 and B1 slot.So I Assembled my pc and uses the A1 and B1 there are 6 slots.A1 A2 B1 B2 C1 C2 so i uses as mentioned in the manual. Now the problem is the bios only shows 2 gb of ram.So I decided to take it to the shop. And when he uses the B1 slot it doesnt works. So he uses the A2 slot and the BIOS detected the 4 gb ram correctly.
Now after 1 week I readed some forums and there I saw we have to use B1 slot for best performance so I take the Board to the Shop and there he tested with the other ram now he uses A1 A2 and B1 and still the B1 isnt working properly so I decide it to Rma Immidietly.

And the Pins of my Motherboard socket where processors sit was bented /damage.

Will post pic/performance When MotherBoard Arrive.

Thankx

Wouldn't really say that. Its just that there's a very strong impression and its crystal clear to everyone that people are preventing to buy products for the reason that its distributed by Rashi. Now that companies are slowly increasing active PR involvement in social networking (including the forums), the only way they can improve is to make others to give good service (unless members end up being sell outs/brand puppets. No denying it, it DOES happen).

People will have to be very careful when it comes to installing Intel processors, even if one deems he is "an expert" or whatever fancy words one wants to throw. I think we had someone whose TRUE120E fall over a 4850/4870, he blamed on the TRUE120E, but the real fault is that he used the backplate screws from the AMD's stock rentention bracket.

@Junaid: Consider yourself extremely lucky because bent pints voids warranty. Nobody can blame them if they did because its the end user's fault- irrespective of who installed it. They could have rejected on the spot if they wanted to. Also, you are supposed to re-install the intel socket cover and the anti-static bag when you're giving anything for RMA.

Remember, they're doing it because they feel that they can do what's should be done. But if members and end users abuse it then we're simply going back to square 1. Very handful of people have put a lot of hardwork to get the relevant people's attention on the forums. Take a lot of care assembling systems and if something is provided to be used with something- even if its a screw. No matter how similar it might look to the one viz. used- do what the instruction manual tells you to do.

The upper glossy paint of the processor had been removed due to the intel stock heatsink I think bcoz had removed it after a very long time.

As I dont think it is an Internal Problem as the processor is running in a very nice way.

And also I had asked the The seller abt the problem and he told me the same thing.

"Your friend" bent the board's pins and now I see this. You have money to buy H70 but not a decent enough psu. I thought it was your friends who put the system together.

I seriously doubt its the problem of the stock heatsink. Why am I getting a feeling that you have removed the thermal paste from the stock heatsink improperly and/or ran it.

Be sure that your friend/dealer/whoever it is honours the warranty, because it is physical damage.

@ junaid786 - that's not some upper glossy paint but aluminum coating I guess and that was removed due to excessive force applied while removing the stock HSF and for that pins on the mobo might have .............. but you're very lucky to get a brand new one as replacement and the new sabertooth with box looks really nice ;-)

@sorceror and @topgear The pins u were talkin abt was faulty from the startting date I purchased the motherboard when I had purchased it the Ram slot wasnt working and when I show it to the shop he also except the fault and replaces it.

I think more damage to the pin was done by the courier service IDK how but I cant confirm BTW I dont have to worry As I got the new product thankx to Rashi and Asus.

And u were talking abot the paint of the processor more over when I touched i I dont feel any rough server as the aluminium paint had been removed u were talking about. So I think it should be the paint problem .

Thankx to freind

^^ one of our forum member here faced similar issue ( ram not detecting ) due to bent pin after he had installed a third party cpu cooler - he manually fixed the pins ;-)

I've mounted and unmounted several intel cpus but have not seen the aluminium coating worn off from the cpu surface so far ;-)

Courier people might handle products without proper care and same is true for some service center people as well and some of them even don''t know how to install drivers properly.

BTW, the bottom line is you got a brand new product and enjoy some great moment with it - one suggestion - get a proper PSU ( spend 5k+ ) and Oc the cpu with the H70 - you'll be amazed by the performance of Sabertooth ;-)
