when ever i start my computer 10 programs start running and this has really slowed my computer
please suggest a good software so that no programs run at start up

The most basic is MSCONFIG.
But i recommend downloading TWEAKUI.
Also System Mechanic is very powerfull
Use MSCONFIG. For this go to start->run and type msconfig and hit enter and then msconfig starts here go to startup tab and deselect all the softwares u do not want to start at startup and click OK. You are done
Use msconfig and deselect all the programs that you do not want to run at start-up
