but WMP's Equalizer is a no-match against WinAmp.

i always liked WMP11 (nice library management[online updates]), but sound quality lacks big time when compared with all-time great WinAmp.

man WMP11 simply ROCKS ROCKS ROCKS , Winamp is dead n it can't even get close to the audio quality delivered by WMP , just turn off equilizer(I being a music purist believe that music should be listened the way it was made by the composer , don't destry it by using an equilizer) ;)

^i like to listen the song the way "I Want" :p

i too used WMP11 (library), but WinAmp is more responsive than WMP, i play game & songs in WinAmp @ same time :D

without equalizer, the songs just seem dull, & you really cant use the Sub-Woofer to its max. :D

Hi..

I am usin PowerDVD 5..normally i dont like equalizers cos it mostly messes up for me..so quietly settled for PowerDVD 5 which doesnt hv equaliser but has some presets like dolby, surround which really works awesome..

also tried the higher versions of PowerDVD, but they hv included equalisers in the latest versions so settled wit version 5 which works like a champ.

Giv it a try and revert bac..

TIA

out of box or with plug-ins, WinAmp is the best.

WMP11's equalizer is not a match to WinAmp's.

i used to use it a lot, but it was a resource hog, as i was using WinAmp as the player in it.

its default player's not good:(

now i prefer WMP11 over Media Monkey.

neat & really good Library management.

I think winamp is the best media player(audio).Combine it with the enhancer plugin & it sounds great. Also there is some paid plugin(forgot it's name) which improves the winamp audio quality.

For Audio: Use Winamp/QCD Player with Enhancer DSP plugin.
For Video: GOM Player (liked its interface and extremely user friendly features.. Can sync Subtitles easily with push of a button..Check it out)

I recommend " POWERDVD" or "WINDVD" over any other player..
only because they use sofhisticated modules like dolby virtual speaker, dolby prologic2 to process audio......

For AUDIO:

For VIDEO:

=----------jetaudio 7 plus----------=
*img118.imageshack.us/img118/1149/75759250co7.th.jpg

------------------
Foobar 2000 barely takes 8mb of RAM.

jetaudio 7 plus has the best built sound enhancer. And after all its easy on resources.

Power DVD, WinDVD are resource HOG and u will soon come to know that.

DFX 8 is not that good, i liked it initially but it kinda destroys the natural feel of music.

Stick to default config unless u want to party.

After searching for a good mp3 media player for compu i stumbled upon this little beauty "Xmplay" the audio was amazing ,before this i tried Winamp+enhancer, wmp11+DFX(both not good for wide variety of music),Real player, vlc(good sound),QCD,Appolo(sounds good),media player classic but these r no match for xmplay, i think dis is really the most accurate sound player as its website says,foobar2000 is the only one that comes close to xmplay. After setting the EQ(with presets available) its sounds Great.barely using 6mb in my compu and also no need to install the program just extract.
