Re: Suggest a Rig for 1,20K

^ Why numeric with such a high end config? Also, does he really need a water cooled cpu cooler like H80. he says he won't overclock(as of now). so a hyper 212 evo should be more than good enough. that would save him 4k.

why a gaming mouse+kb combo? and why the gtx 670 when he said he wants a quadro series workstation card?

And btw,really really expensive cabinet.

Re: Suggest a Rig for 1,20K

Sorry , I didnt see anything of that .

Sainatarajan, your post is simply full of errors and it will simply mislead OP. Try to analyze the requirements of the OP first and then suggest, rather than suggest whatever fits in Op's buddget without checking if it is gonna satisfy OP's need.

You've suggested him 4.5K Gaming Mouse + Keyboard where Op never mentioned that gaming is his concern.
Suggested him GTX 670 without understanding the fact that 600 series offers 20% less performance in computing compared to the older 500 series.
Also suggested him a 18K cabinet without suggesting him better processor + Motherboard.

Here is my suggestion:
Intel Ivy Bridge Core i7 3770K @ 20K
ASUS P8Z77-V @ 14.8K
Depp Cool Ice Blade Pro CPU Cooler @ 2.67K
G-skill Ripjaw 4GB X 2 1600 MHz DDR3 @ 3.2K
Seagate Baracuda ST1000DM003 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD (64 MB Cache, SATA III) @ 5.575K
Corsair Carbide 400R @ 4.8K
Seasonic SS-750 JS 750W 80+ Bronze PSU @ 5.425K
GIGABYTE GV-R787OC-2GD HD 7870 OC @ 21.1K
AOC E 2440VH 24" LED Full HD Display @ 12K
Lenovo M6811 Gaming Mouse @ 0.6K
Logitech Keyboard @ 0.4K
APC 1.1 KVA @ 4.8K

Total: 100.37K. With the rest of the money, you can add a 120 GB SSD @ 10K to improve the performance. Also you can go with a workstation card as suggested by RajatGod512.

But the thing is AMD 7000 series also offers better Computing and rendering capability + good gaming potential.

@martin.stallone: Check with Ankit infotech or Golcha IT in SP road for the best Prices. If you stay near Indranagar then Binary world is also a good option.

But before buying, try getting the price details for most of the components. Whoever gives you the best price, stick to them.

Now for the config, here goes the suggestions.

^^ Wow that's a great deal then. That monitor has one of the best reviews and recommended for professional artists as well.

I got Asus PA238Q at 17150 though. Other Dell Ultrasharp monitors lack HDMI port which I need for my Xbox 360.

d3p bro, can you inquire the price for Asus PA238Q? I want to know for how much is it available there?

the UPS is only meant to regulate voltage fluctuations and provide backup until u can save ur work and switch off your computer or power up ur home ups, in case u have that. so expecting it to run ur rig until the power comes back, is probably not a good idea.

as for the case, the 400R has 3 fans, 2 (LED ones) in front and one at the back. but u can add a lot more of them (probably 10 in total) if u want to.

so will these 3 Fans come with case itself ? or I need to buy them?

how many fans does 500R has ?

Re: Suggest a Rig for 1,20K

@martin.stallone
Hey mate, I am also in the same field and I have assembled rig just a month back; you can find it details here -
New PC Build for 3D Creation & Rendering.

But if I have 120k budget then I WILL go for this one -

i7 3930k | 36570
ASUS P9X79 | 19213
Sub Total | 55783
Other Components u have selected | 75820
Grand Total | 131603

Although prices from flipkart; on the street you can find them with some discount.:Fingerx:

I know you can't extend your budget above 120k but...come on buddy it's not that huge increase, it's 11k more for almost 'Perfect Machine for 3D' .:2subs:

I have chosen i7 3930k b'cause it can increase performance up to 20 to 40% on multi-threaded application
(3D Max, Maya, Cinema4D etc.) above 2600k and 3770k's performance almost like 2600k.

Read few reviews for better understanding (at least just see Cinebench's & similar muti-threaded apps. benchmarks) -
Intel Core i7-3930K And Core i7-3820: Sandy Bridge-E, Cheaper : Core i7-3930K And -3820 Get Reviewed
Overclock3D :: Review :: Intel Core i7-3930K Review :: Introduction and Technical Specifications
Intel Core i7 3930K (LGA 2011) CPU Review :: TweakTown USA Edition
Intel Core i7-3930K Review | bit-tech.net

You can change motherboard if you want with expert's advice.

And if you want save some money -
1] Opt. 8 GB RAM - I don't think you will need 16 GB when you have Quadro on-board
2] Opt. NZXT 210 Elite or Bitfinex Merc Alpha insted of Corsair 400R.
3] Opt. Noctua NH-D14 or Silver Arrow instead of H100.

Think about it !
Cheers !
