Suggest... Best Anti-virus for home user

Dear friends, Pls suggest a good anti virus for home use under Rs 500 budget...

for home usage , why not use Avast Free Antivirus? and if you really want a paid solution, buy Kaspersky or Bitdefender. don't waste money on quick-heal or net protector.

Bitdefender is a good option if you want to buy Internet Security. As far as basic anti virus goes pic avast

again..

Avast for free.

Kaspersky/Nortor for paid.

Haven't tried Norton of late but does it still slow down the system?

Use avast, fast and secure and the best part, its free.

from reading other users' experience, the recent versions dont, anymore.

Kaspersky = Bitdefender > anything else
I like Kaspersky better but it is a resource hog though

What about Norton 2013 I'm getting it for Rs. 238 from flipkart

Bit defender 2013 for Rs. 175

Also, kaspersky 2014 for Rs. 290. please suggest from above list
