hi friends m going to purchase a phone budget >=25k. i need latest technology in it like touch screen, windows etc.

suggest me except nokia and iphone.

well dude...if u ant an all in one phone go for the w960i..it roks big time..it has touch screen,uiq 3.1 interface..walkman 3 touch(its simply superb man) and a 3.2 mp camera capable of awesum shots...well for one thing it doesnt have windows mobile..but trust me..using it is a breeze..its simply great..

As of now, Windows Mobile is not really a good choice, even Windows Mobile 6. For the multimedia and Non-business consumers.

I have no problems with Windows itself, and I work on a Vista PC (along with a Leopard Mac) every single day. WM's problem is that it isn't Windows. Here are a few of the unnecessarily complicated attributes that Windows Mobile doesn't share with desktop Windows:
• It's very hard to multitask.
• Closing a program doesn't really close it.
• Different builds work differently.

Have you checked out the new NokMote and RotateMe 2 on the N95, that is one heck of a phone to say the least!! With the Accelerometer API out, we are really getting these excellant apps for the accelerometer enabled nokia phones.

And the New N95, specially the N95-3 (US Edition) is a dream phone!!

You might concider some of those Pocket Linux based mobiles, because they have a vast array of free softwares for them available for download online. Even VLC is stable on it. Windows Mobile lacks quite a few features which may be hopefully implemented soon in comming releases, but meanwhile, Pocket Linux based mobiles are your best bet.

And yes, instead of going for a 40K blackberry, its better to go for a 4K mobile and a 36K laptop

For a moment.. I was just in utter disbelief about the gizmondo article you quoted. I have been using At&T Tilt now for over 2 months and I find the Windows mobile 6 platform completely rocking.

What I like about Windows Mobile based phones is their ultimate customization potential. You can create ur own personalized ROM using custom OS core, drivers and software. Thats what I did.... got rid of the original ROM from At&T, used the official ROM from HTC... found it to suck !!!! Then flashed over 60 varieties of custom ROMs, which the famous guys at Xda-developers used to cook... found some great and some bad.. so learnt how to cook a ROM myself using the easy-to-use guide provided by xda-devs... now using my own custom ROM with the latest build of Windows mobile 6 professional, the latest HTC drivers and my favourite software...

Now, my phone is blazing fast, superb functionality suited to my tastes... and the thing that the drawbacks, the gizmondo article mentioned, everything corrected...

I am extremely contended now ....

I'll suggest LG Viewty. Its available in India now. Should cost around 28k.
