2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?
Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen
3) Are there any brandsthat you prefer or any you really don't like?
Like:dell,lenovo,hp,samsung

4) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
Internet,videos,little gaming

5) What screen resolution(s) & type would you prefer?
Dont know much about it.

Need a laptop with 3rd gen i5 and windows 8.

Go for this one,fits perfectly in your price bracket, But comes with DOS(saves you a lot of money).
