Take 6k from your father. Save 4k on your own and get LG Optimus One.

^^ Lol. This guy is a total noob. He's suggesting phones which neither fits the OP's requirement nor his budget. Plus HTC Smart & Dell XCD28 are some of the worst phones available now.

In another thread he suggests AMD-based netbooks which aren't launched yet, to a guy.

Cool down.

AMD-based netbooks are coming in 2 weeks. My friend has inquired about HP dm1z.

I have given you the best suggestions in my earlier post.

Alternatively, you can get the SE Cedar if you want to upgrade to 3G later.

@J.Singh
When it comes to feature packed phone (under 7k), nothing beats Nokia E63 - 3G, WiFi, 2.4" inch screen, qwerty keypad, decent build quality, long battery life and last of all (it's a) smartphone unlike C3.
You know it really gets irritating when you can't minimise applications, all you can to is EXIT ;-)

But sadly, E63 is slower than C3 :-(
